Battle With Creatures Of Aztec Mythology In Card Game, NAWALLI

Tecuanis are a company who have been creating neat Aztec-inspired toys, apparel and the like for a little while now. Well, they also recently hit up Kickstarter (and got funded) with their card game based on Aztec mythology called NAWALLI!

NAWALLI has you taking on the role of shapeshifting sorcerers who are able to summon the mystical Nawals. You then dive into battles in the area to prove your worth! Whilst the Kickstarter for the game might be over, it shouldn't be long until this hits retail over on their store.

Inside the set, you get four pre-built decks that represent four different Aztec gods, Tezkatlipoka, Tlalok, Ehakatl, and Xipe Totek. When it comes to setting up the game, you select one of these decks and then add additional items, creatures and spells before heading to the arena.

During gameplay, you will then summon creatures to the arena and use their different abilities in order to win the day. Examples given include Eagles that can fly over lanes to attack, Jaguars which can shift between lanes and Snakes that can absorb the power of those they defeat. You can also make hybrid creatures that can benefit from a multitude of abilities!
NAWALLI looks really colourful and fun and I like that it draws from a different sphere of Fantasy and mythology. I like that each of the cards also includes information on the different Nawals that you can play as, giving you an insight into Aztec culture.
As mentioned, their Kickstarter has been fully funded and is now looking to deliver to backers. But, they have promised to introduce this onto their webstore in the future and with such a unique take on a card battler in terms of theme, I thought this was worth a shout!
What do you make of NAWALLI from this quick look?

Looks very cool. Would definitely have been tempted to pledge had I seen this earlier!
