Aristeia! Week:
Building Your Teams
November 24, 2017 by xaerin
Justin and Killian are about to face off in the HexaDome but first, we will show how to make your deck and choose your fighters in Corvus Belli's new miniature battle game Aristeia!
The game has two suggested team builds Team Green and Team Orange. Team Green consists of Wild Bill, 8-Ball, Gata, and Musashi. Team Orange is made up of Hexx3r, Maximus, Parvati and Major Lunah.
However, you are free to draft your own teams and using these starting characters we will explain the different mechanics involved.

Justin VS Killigan
yes pls
I believe it’s Killian. But yeah! This upcoming game will be a fierce one, you can tell as both players went through their cards in serious silence. Game one!
Don’t you mean, Kill-again? Justin doesn’t stand a chance.
interesting choices for your teams
That will be great if they release some card packs without model or for Infinity models :p
I cannot believe Hexxer went so late. She’d have been one of my earliest choices for board control.
When we will see more Aristos, I think team building will become more and more interesting!
The drafting seems to be different from what the guides in the core game suggests. I have only played draft for League of Legends, so the draft rules shown above seems strange. Would it not be more fair to pick characters this way? 1st Round Draft – Player A picks 1 / Player B picks 2 ; 2nd Round – Player A picks 2 / Player B picks 2 ;3rd Round – Player A picks 1.
Justin picking the tanks and the damage dealers, surely not ?
polar opposite teams, should be interesting. Killian is going to have to show some real slick skills to pull this off.
Drafting method seems fair if your just sharing one copy. I wonder how the handle people bringing in their own teams with the same models?
Good question, you could just pool the two teams and then draft, but I’m not so keen on someone else who I might not know to play with my miniatures same goes for me playing wit someone elses miniatures.
With every other game allowing players complete control over the composition of their forces – resulting in finely-crafted combinations that wipe out everyone who isn’t a top-tier player – I like that this one, it seems, takes that away. I see it being sort of an equalizer as each player is forced to adapt their gameplay to the skills of the characters they have.
can’t wait to see those sponsor rules
Cool draft mechanic
Comment to win?! Yes please I would love to get my hands on this!
Feel like justin may have shot himself in the foot taking all the hard men. If the scenario is very objective based, sacrificing all the mobility and board control might be a mistake.
Unexpected, I thought the Aristeia Week was over after Carlo’s match.
Interesting video, anyway.
I understand this picking system is not for competition, really interesting the sponsorships
received my box today! will meet up later to have a go at it! not a big fan of the bent swords and the bases but that is an easy fix.
I need to see how that game will play out. I love drafting mechanic, it will stop list building and using over the same teams
Drafting and sponsors sounds interesting.
im liking how fast this moves
I thought you could go with your band pre-selected from home…
I love draft mechanics, and the pick 2 after the 1st round seems like a balanced way to offset loss of 1st pick
Justin’s team very much like a tank. Heavy armor and big guns.
Draft was interesting, I like the you pick 1..i get 2 thing..nice balancer.
Yeah! There’s only one thing left to do……..FIGHT!!!
I love the way you choose teams. Cant wait to see how they play out in a game. I personally would like to try out Hexer, Major Luna, Gata and Eight ball. Gata for the scoring, Eight ball for the ability “Be water Dude and some of his cards to displace or swap positions with other models, combine this with Hexer ability of controlling the play area then I think all major luna will have to do is shoot as Eight ball and Hexer can move opponents into range and LOS for shooting
Drafting will get really interesting once all those expansions come out.
