Antoine Bauza Working On New Edition Of Ghost Stories

Antoine Bauza is working with Repos Productions on a new edition of Ghost Stories. Named, Last Hope it takes a different approach to the co-operative format of the game.
The game is now taking on a Medieval theme separating it from the Chinese background of the original game and its expansions. In Ghost Stories, you played as Warrior Monks who would be presented with enemies in front of you, working out the best way to defeat them with the roll of a dice, sets of tokens, and of course the use of a range of locations on the main board.
The game was great fun, if very hard. Even on some of the lower difficulty settings, the game could spring some dangerous combinations of foes on you and you'd have to use all of your puzzling know-how in order to win.
I particularly liked playing as the Green Monk who was able to manipulate the dice. The Yellow Monk was also rather cool as they could throw down a token which eliminated the icon on one of your foes, or one of your friends.
The new take on the game, Last Hope, streamlines the rules whilst playing around with the mechanics to make it easier to get stuck into and, as Bauza said, focus on your impending doom.
I am very interested to see how the new version of the game looks!
