Smash Up! from Alderac Entertainment Group is a big box of laughs, combining cards to create faction armies of zombies, dinosaurs, ninjas and even sheep to smash through bases in a battle of brutal chaos.

Smash Up! after being present for ten years now on the tabletop, returning time and time again over the years to my table is getting a revive and a new edition to celebrate the anniversary and milestone. Welcoming the sheer wreckage and chaos to a new audience this year!

Expanding into further chaos, the new core box for the card game is gearing up to release to retail this October, with new factions and upgrading the quality of life to components from older editions.

Looking past the normal battle of pirates, ninjas, robots, zombies, dinosaurs and more. Combining two 20-card decks to create zombie pirates, or dinosaur ninjas, the new core set will introduce four new challengers. Including the Mermaids, Skeletons and the World Champs. Plus they have thrown in the Sheep faction to the new box, rebooting that reprint. Entering new opportunities to outmanoeuvre, manipulate and strategize cards and abilities to reap the most points.

In theme with the 10-year anniversary, alongside the game, players will gain access to a 10-year retrospective art book too, new Titans and an alternate format Big Base given the update into a new arena.

The updated core box, Smash Up: 10th Anniversary Set will be ready to be released into retail stores on October the 28th. So if you are looking at expanding into some new factions, and already have your set of eight factions in your previous core box. You have a chance to dip into some new content, with new chaotic monsters extremely keen on smashing through with whatever combined ability strikes!

There are already a ton of expansions released, including Fairies, Kitty Cats, Grandmas and Mythic Greeks, so plenty of content to jump into if you are looking at just getting started.

Would you be interested in returning to Smash Up! given the new factions?
