August 2, 2022 by fcostin
Flatout Games have headed to Twitter to announce they will be teaming up once more with AEG to bring fans of Point Salad a new, engine-building title. Putting the trove down for the garden, and into a wider scope of possibilities in point scoring. Players will be on a mission to construct buildings in Point City.
Point City // FlatOut Games And AEG
Bringing city-grid drafting, players will be aiming to build a city, constructing buildings by cards and racking up points or combinations. Adding a new layer of strategy - regardless of that the similar goal is to rack in those wonderful wins, calculating the best way to earn and multiply points by layout and structure. Fitting in different structures to form a thriving city, and meeting requirements for a bountiful and rewarding environment.
Point Salad Preview // AEG And Flatout Games
The game will include 150 different building cards, therefore a high chance of replayability due to the different combinations and the multitude of ways to earn points. Point Salad is a game my group have picked up time and time again, without any two-game feeling the same, a quick setup, competitive atmosphere taking roughly 15-30 minutes to play through. Plus, a Spiel Des Jahres 2021 nomination comes at high recomendation.
The game has just been announced, however, if you liked Point Salad, this may be the next step up in fun complexity that you need. If you are keen on finding more about the next collaboration between AEG and Flatout Games, the title is set to be released in 2023, with Flatout providing a sign-up option to their newsletter for more details up til release.
Would you be tempted to try out Point City?
