90s Classic Snake Board Game Now On Kickstarter
September 24, 2021 by fcostin
Do you remember Snake? The mobile game everybody used to play on their Nokia 32 and 3310s? The game where you guide a sturdy snake across a grid to munch upon snackage without bumping into itself in the process. Simple concept, and yet thousands upon thousands of people were hooked into Snake comparing top scores, or in my case: bottom scores!
Snake - The Board Game is currently up on Kickstarter and it is taking the classic mobile game onto the table, igniting strategy not just against food - but against opponents too. As every move counts, blocking and fighting opponents head-to-head.

The premise of the game is fundamentally the same. 2-4 players give their snake a chill pill before making their way across the board. Watching every move, anticipating every move, and blocking as many moves as possible.
“No change has ever been as drastic as this one, however. This iteration, unlike any other, takes the concept of Snake and turns it upside down. It is a revolution of the game, breathing another life into the decades-old framework.”
The Evolution of Snake
The game can take 30-60 minutes to play, depending on how many people are involved in the madness. If you also wanted to breathe new life into the game by educating the youngsters about technology, using the usual “back in my day… this was a game on my phone”, the game is pitched for 8+, so you can be sure to get your family involved.
Although the game has not been funded just yet, we are still in the early days and have 27 days left on the clock for the campaign.
Do you remember Snake? My 3310 with my Betty Boop phone case held some true failures.

@fcostin I don’t believe you are old enough to have had a Nokia 32 and 3310!
Do I remenmber the game? I can dig up some of the phones it’s on and probably it’ll still have a half charged battery.
I’m not gonna back because it’s not a game I need and shelfspace is precious, but it actually looks ingeniously simple and charming.
