6: Siege - The Board Game from Mythic Games is now live on Kickstarter. Make sure to check out the campaign down below after you've watched their badass trailer.

At the core of 6: Siege - The Board Game is a two-to-four player experience that is designed to match the tactical gameplay of the Ubisoft video game. Each player will take a team of Operators and play as either Attackers or Defenders.
What's In The Box // Mythic Games
As the Attacker, you'll be looking to fight your way through to your objectives as quickly as possible. As the Defender, you'll be crafting the environment and making sure it plays to your advantage.

Each Operator comes with their own plus points and minuses meaning that when you sit down to play you'll have a lot of choice as to how you approach a given situation.
Pledge Options
There are three core pledge options for those wanting to have a peek at 6: Siege. Even the Fresh Recruit Pledge comes with a bunch of additional extras.

The Trooper Pledge sits in the middle and offers up not just the base game but loads of additional options. Not only do you get five expansion packs full of Operators but also two Map Packs and all of the options available to Fresh Recruit pledges.

You can also then go all in and snap up the Smooth Operator Pledge if you prefer. This comes with pretty much everything they have included on their Kickstarter page.

There are between six and eight Operators included with each of the different expansion packs which means there will be a lot for you to dive into if you pick up the game at a higher level. I also like that you can expand things and include that plastic terrain if you prefer.
It is well worth checking out the Kickstarter page to see more of the Stretch Goals, Add-Ons and Daily Unlocks that the team have popped into the mix. As with a lot of the Mythic campaigns, this one is packed with all manner of things you'll want to read up on.

Make sure to keep an eye out over here OnTableTop as we're going to be putting together some Let's Play videos for you soon. This certainly seems like a good one especially if you're into your tight, tactical games.
Are you going to be snapping this up on Kickstarter?

This looks a bit of alright
Had a look at the ks. Doesn’t interest me, but the video game didn’t appeal either.
I think it is a bit strange for them to show a ‘saving’ over what I assume is the retail price. Which Mythic KS games have actually made it to retail?
every kickstarter tries to trick people into backing by claiming that the stuff they get is ‘cheaper’ than RRP.
I suspect that the price is probably used for their internal accounting to gauge profit/loss.
Over £240k already. This hobby must be full of whales who love mediocrity.
“Whales Who Love Mediocrity.” If that’s not KS’ slogan it should be.
And also the name of my new prog rock album 😛
One look at the videogame page should tell you all you need to know about their target demographic :

yep …
a 30$ base game that tricks people into spending hundreds of dollars in virtual content.
People pay 2$ for a weapon skin that they could have made in photoshop in 2 seconds (if the game had allowed it … )
Judging by the amount of ads all over the webpage, Mythic must have backed the money truck up to OTT HQ. Huge ad banner front-&-center, second huge ad banner below that, smaller ad piece in the horizontal top crawl, smaller ad piece in the rightmost forum vertical crawl. It’s a marketing blitz!
As they are charging $25 for a laser pen worth £8 they can afford to.
looks great.
all art straight from the videogame … of course it does look great.
two maps …
where is the fun in that ?
and you get to pay 40$ for 4 extra maps (effectively $10 each).
That is a bit expensive.
If there had been a map designer thingy of some description this could have been fun.
Yes that is also a problem I have with it.
The core set has a nice number of operators but only 2 maps? They could have easily doubled this then it would be a nice deal.
I just checked Ragnarok … only 4 maps in the core game, so not that much extra.
Gamedesign and balancing for this style of game must be hard, which might explain the lack of maps.
Additional gametypes do help extend the life of those maps, but still …
OTOH the actual game doesn’t have a lot of maps either.
Does anyone else miss the old school Rainbow Six games?
I’ve never played them but I always liked the idea of them, so when they announced R6 siege I was dissappointed that it was one of them multiplayer triple A premium games filled with microtransactions …
It’s such a shame that Tom Clancy sold his name to Ubisoft, because they ran his franchise into the ground with mediocre crap.
At 28mm the minis and card gubbins would be a hedging of a bet against a limited game. I’m interested
Not a fan of video game conversions. Even if I were, Mythic have got a lot of games in development and are still late with Solomon Kane which has only delivered Wave 1.
