Blacksmith Miniatures has been showing off some wonderful looking additions to their webstore which are perfect for those who want something different to paint up. We start with the adorably odd Little Master Mice.

Little Master Mice - Blacksmith Miniatures

This little fellow is a 54mm sculpt by Stéphane Camosseto based on concept artwork by Jean-Baptiste MONGE and I think you'd agree that it is a wonderful moment caught in time. I love the idea that this fellow looks after all the mice in your house, wandering under the floorboards and offering up nibblets of cheese to his mousey friends.

You could have a lot of fun painting this miniature, working on the intricate clothing of the Master himself and the myriad of different bottles in his backpack. Maybe he actually asks the mice to go and find those for him?

Catch The Ferret!

As well as Little Master Mice there's also the Ferret. This is another 54mm model which shows a couple of travelling Elves/Gnomes who are wandering through the woods on the back of their trusty Ferret.

Ferret - Blacksmith Miniatures

As someone who loves themselves a bit of folklore and the whimsical side of things, I love the look of this model. This time around the sculpt is by Valentin Zak based on another piece of concept art by Jean-Baptiste MONGE.

I think these would be great models to pick up and paint if you're an avid hobbyist. You have the long Autumn and Winter months couped up inside to work on these and make them look really special.

What do you think?
