Prepare For A Shootout In Black Scorpion’s Tombstone Kickstarter
March 20, 2017 by brennon
Black Scorpion are going to be bringing the Wild West world of Tombstone to the tabletop soon as they launch a Kickstarter for the project on April 5th.
Over the next week or so the team behind Tombstone are going to be previewing more of the miniatures from the game (you can check out some of them HERE), snippets of the rulebook, and more as they get ready to launch their project.
It looks like they've already laid a lot of the groundwork for this project going forward so it will be interesting to see where they go with the campaign. Hopefully, we'll see lots of interesting stretch goals and exclusives popping up as the Wild West really does allow you to go crazy with its variety of characters.
Just check out the awesome demo table they made to show off the game...
Now that is a scene worthy of a proper showdown. We'll be keeping an eye on this one was Cutlass! was a great system which used a great dice/stat mechanic we enjoyed.
Will you be watching this one?

the town looks brilliant.
Cowboy boots! Hot ladies in COWBOY boots! Yes! Thank you. I can’t remember the game, but sometime last year someone was launching some kind of PPHW game with American West ladies . . . with some kind of weird, clunky cyberpunk stripper boots.
No! No, no, no! 😀 Fortunately, these guys seem to be getting it right. 😀
I believe you are thinking of Wild West Exodus. Great game with outstanding miniatures that are definitely not intended to substitute as historical, though that assumption is sometimes made. It’s a unique sci-fi/steampunkish setting set in an alternate post-ACW history.
I like Black Scorpion Miniatures a lot, and the game engine from Cutlass was decent, so I feel this will be good for those that are looking for a more historical old west game.
I enjoyed Cutlass and this should be as historical as you like, I would recommend ignoring the undead Cowboys if you want true historical
You are probably right, @bigdaddio , about the WWX. I honestly don’t remember, and certainly have no problem with WWX in general. I would just add, though, my “issue” (and it wasn’t really an issue 🙂 ) wasn’t historical. I appreciate these games are PPHW / SteamPunk, etc., and “history” is an aesthetic inspiration at best. But superhero ladies have a certain look. Bond ladies have a certain look. Sci-Fi / Anime ladies have a certain look. Same goes with Wild West. You don’t often get a chance to put Old West boots on a female miniature, you certainly don’t… Read more »
This is the one I’ve been waiting for!
Wallet- prepare thyself…
Been waiting for this since they were handing out flyers at Salute. I love their single casts…
No no no! I swore off kickstarters for this year, but this… 🙁
I am also off Kickstarters for 2017…
Except this one and those sweet mushroom guys that are currently on there. My poor wallet.
And Zombie Cowboys.
There isn’t a genre that doesn’t combine well with zombies, is there?
I can’t think of one. Like bacon, zombies go with everything.
Wild West Zombies, Pirate Zombies, Care Bear Zombies, WW2 Zombies, Space Zombies, Pride & Prejudice & Zombies, My Little Pony Zombies. Literally all great.
