Nice show guys, out of curiosity is this the way XLBS is going? a few gamers chewing the fat about what models they are painting at the minute? or was this just to fill the gaps a bit? if it was the former, fair enough, but if it was the latter dont feel the need to put a vid out just to fill time up, Im pretty sure we will understand (especially since we are paying for backstage)
it was more that i thought it would be a nice change for once in a while to let the community see what we’re all working on and see what they think of the games/systems we’re playing also its a good way to get the community chatting about what their working on and whats caught their eye.
BoW Justin
I’ve been a back stager for a while. I’m one of those silent enjoyers. Having watch BoW for ages i signed up for back stage a while ago but I have never posted before. But as Demyse says this seemed a bit of a filler video. As you were showing us what you had painted it would have been nice to see close ups of the models to see what you are discussing. Other than that keep up the good work! Love this site.
i’m never showing my crappy painting 🙂 think there is only one time that my work has been seen online 🙂
Have to agree with @ rekky you need to show what you are talking about in the vids, we are part of group…..having them there but not showing sort of excludes us. I want to see Mikes purple flesh……..oh god did I just say that……….
Well that sounded wrong…
Nice product placement on the table 😉
Was better than a kick in the nuts, and I appreciate the fact that other gamers find the same difficulty just finding the time to sit down and paint some models.
A look inside the box of Level 7 for backstage might’ve been good. 😛
I take Kevs approach to painting. Start with a small core and slowly adding units as each one is painted.
I’ve got into the nasty habit of just buying everything i like, assembling it, then being to overwhelmed to paint it all.
My problem at the moment is I have too much multi-threading going on i.e. multiple cores are processing….so much so I never seem to get to the battlefield. Partly blame KS, GW release schedule, oh and BoW. I suppose three kids and a full time job might be part of equation as well and the weather…..and TV……oh god I’ll never game again….
i’ve been with back stage from the start and I know we support the front of the show but please no more of this as you say “extra live Bull S%&t”. It wastes my time and yours
Is it the XLBS in general you dislike or just the recent XLBS shows?
Speaking only for myself, just the recent shows.
i like hearing about what other gamer’s are up to. currently im working on a tuhmakan on toad dragon from forge world
Very jealous – that model looks awesome!
I would have liked to see the minis in question so I could relate to what you were talking about. Other than that Im painting some Thousand Sons in preperation for my Ahriman mini which is winging its way across the sea. Accompanied by Cypher.
Maybe it sounds little bit harsh, but if you would’nt show your models, just stop talking about your projects. I don’t know what you’re afraid of. Seems to me, that this weekender and weekender xlbs were not so good prepared. But this is just my personal opinion. Im sure you guys can do much better.
I always like videos with Kev in… 🙂
