I’m most likely just getting the rulebook because of money and stuff. I am planning to use my Deathwatch that I’m currently painting for this or otherwise I have plenty of Space Wolves.
@dignity – from the Kill Team Focus: The Adeptus Astartes on the Warhammer community website:
“Adeptus Astartes kill teams are a single category – but you’ll still be able to represent each Chapter with the units and wargear you use, the Tactics and specialists you choose and the names and background you generate.”
So it would seem that Space Wolves follow the Adeptus Astartes rules in the Core Manual.

Kill Team is here, woot! I for one would love to see a vlog of you painting the Kill Team terrain. Any hints or tips on getting it done quickly without the colour scheme looking too bland would be much appreciated.
I’m going to start with the rule book but have already ordered some Tau to try out.
@johnlyons would love a quick painting guide for the kill team terrain. Hope you put out the unboxing before pre-orders go in, really want to know what the stuff inside the box is like and whether it is worth the cost.
The unboxing is not far away 😉
For some reason it is out on You Tube but not on BoW yet.
@johnlyons you have to do a “Build your own Kill Team Vlog”
I´ll do a project for my upcomming Tempestus Scions Kill Team for sure. We have a Scenario planned with BFG, Epic40k and Kill Team, this will be awesome, can´t wait for the rules.
Awesome – Justin just spoiled tomorrows warhammer community blog post. 🙂 I am really looking forward to Kill Team!
I’m really excited about this! I played Kill Team back in 7th edition. I already have a few teams including Space Marines, Orks, Tau, and Necrons. I will probably only get the rulebook.
If you guys do a Let’s Play, I would like to see the teams that come with the box (Skitarri and Genestealer Cult). As long as it’s not power armor vs power armor.
@johnlyons: I had some gothic ruins to paint up quickly made by Pegasus Hobbies. The piece were already molded in grey plastic. So, I thought it would be silly to prime them black only to paint them grey again. I “primed” the pieces with matte spray. This gave enough tooth to the plastic to accept dry brushing of lighter grey paints and some black and brown washes to give the ruins a burned out weathered appearance. I then picked out a few details like the doors to give a bit of contrast. Maybe you could try the same thing here… Read more »
Great idea on the quick terrain paint blog John.
Justin, when in Chicago visit Games Plus in Mount Prospect. It’s the best store in the area by far and has been operation for almost 40 years now. You can find stuff there you didn’t even know you wanted.
SW kill team, now there`s something to think about, but i do like @johnlyons idea of BT.
a great unboxing the terrain looks fabulous like strait out of dawn of war.
The “want” is really growing inside of me. This might become my re-entry into 40k.
