Crap, got all you guys staying with me haven’t I 😉 roll on salute!
If you guys hit the tops of the trench outlines with some white spray paint it will warp the foam in a similar fashion to useing the heat gun, but is far less time consuming.
I love the BattleZones terrain and so glad I got the two big boxes of it. It is just so damn versatile!
Oh, should have said if you raise the part with the ATATs to the same level as the tops of the trenches, it would look more dug in. That’s a lot more foam though.
This is looking amazing, I cannot wait to see it, but (movie accuracy be damned) im disappointed by the lack of flags
Just a thought – you could use Velcro tabs to attach the raised Polystyrene during game play. You can then take them off and put them on again. take them off and put them on again. Take them off and put them on again!
Yellow snow.
Just say’in
Watch out where those huskies go…
Like bcup said. where are the flags?
cant wait to see where you end up with it at salute 🙂
I would us blu-tak to fix the terrain, thats what I use at home for my “winter” terrain as I use Deep Cut mats. I know its time consuming but I would avoid sticking to plain polystyrene finish, get some snow spray m8s! 😀
It looks great but I think you may need some blue on the snow areas to show shadows and create depth…. just a thought
Looking great guys, I’m glad you went to the trouble of building the arch for the hangar doors because it looks great. Also, well done for remembering to make the doors big enough that the ships could conceivably fly through them (that’s one of my peeves about terrain when done wrong!) As for the rooms, why not use blister plastic and sprue frames to make the control room screens.. and although I suspect the rooms were all on the same level for practical reasons, it might be nice to have rooms that are sitting on top of the two sides… Read more »
Can’t wait to see it at Salute, I pity whoever it is who has to sweep/hoover your floor!!
Looking great ! big blast gate great idea, would do same guys, Hope to see that fly out corridor too. good job guys! keep us posted.
Well done gentlemen… and you too Lloyd.
Maybe you could carve out a place for an ipod and speakers that play star wars music score the whole day.
I just hope Dak survives your demo game.
Poor Dak. 🙁
I can’t wait to see this at salute…. looks amazing guys!
Oh my goodness, guys! That looks fantastic! It’s really coming together nicely. I can’t wait to see it finished!
Looks great. cocktail sticks can often be used to fix polystyrene sheets together. I can not wait to see this at Salute.
Great VLOG and awesome game table shaping up. You guys are really catching all the aspects of the Hoth “world.”
I especially like the Echo Base, and your inclusion of the infamous “South Passage.” 😀
Han: “Laugh it up, fuzzball. But you didn’t see us alone in the South Passage. She expressed her true feelings for me.”
Leia: “Wha . . .? Why you stuck up, scruffy-lookin’ NERF HERDER!”
Han: “Who’s scruffy-lookin’?”
That board is starting to look amazing, I can’t wait to see it finished.
Can’t wait to get to get to salute now 😀
That table is looking sweet. Perhaps a little blue in the corners would help break up the white with it being glacial gents
first of all, you bastards you complete utter bastards!!! you had to use to squeakiest packaging from the devils on backside. when ever you touched it and it squeaked it went right through me, I cant stand it and had to mute some parts of the vlog. secondly that looks awesome, will you add a little bit of a dirty blue paint on the carved sections to represent glacial ice? hopefully ill see this at salute but I need to check my shift pattern for that week
I think a few flags would help to tie the whole thing together.
Looking good guy’s, hope i can get to Salute so i can have a play :).
Trenches look great, this is gonna be so cool!!
