Really enjoyed this, particularly as I’m in the process of building a US tank force.
Great work as usual.
PS I know it’s a demo game so not that important but I think you were taking moral checks when units were AT half strength, not BELOW half strength. Please do correct me if I was wrong about that.
No you have to be below half strength. The actual wording of the rules is “more teams destroyed than still fighting” (Rulebook, page 172). So for infantry you have to be below strength, for tanks its a little more complicated, because bailed out tanks don’t count as destoryed nor as fighting.
It’s just a jump to the left
And then a step to the right
Put a round in the chamber
And lock that breach up tight
But it’s the bad die rolls that really drives you insane,
Let’s do the Stormtrooper move again!
Let’s do the Stormtrooper move again!
Love the series but I am getting a bit confused on the rules. You have to roll a motivation check for bailout tanks if I am not mistaking and not a skill test.
That is correct. You roll a motivation roll for a bailed out tank to remount it. But I guess it wouldn’t have made such a difference. Still, the guys are getting most of the rules right and that on camera without a lot of breakes and rulebook flipping. So some mistakes are bound to happen.
Who makes those buildings?
I enjoyed these two FoW videos. I will not have a chance to play anytime soon. However, it is great to see how the game plays and especially how nuanced the interaction of the special rules is in FoW. Knowing your army’s key tactics and how they interact with other armies is essential to maximizing their effectiveness and minimizing or avoiding the strengths of your opponent.
Excellent job guys. It always helps to learn the rules quicker when you have someone actually walking you through step by step. I look forward to seeing more of Dave and Warren
in FOW FTW.
Joined backstage because of fow ftw good show guys am off to see what other goodies I can watch…. 🙂
Great video. Inspires me to get out the tanks again. Well done
did you realize that you only needed 5s to hit in the first turn? (Veteran =4, +1 for range). You always taker the easiest shot for the platoon you are shooting at. The tanks in the road don’t have cover. The first platoon had a tank sitting without a hedge in front of it so no cover.
Well, I guess the Americans are trained, not vets, makes it even easier to hit. I also noticed the eager rolling for morale tests.
Nice video, very informative
