The Sands Of Arena Rex Welcome The New Hero Iocasta
October 13, 2017 by brennon
Red Republic Games has been showing off their new hero, Iocasta, who has been taken to the sands of Arena Rex to prove herself.
To find out more about her, here's their background on the hero...
"The tradition of ghata’sar is long recognized by the Sandborn tribes, allowing those who clash regularly with the traditions of their nomadic lifestyle or their tribe’s leadership to leave behind their names and perhaps find peace elsewhere in the world.
Iocasta’s self-exile lead her to take up not only a Roman name but possibly the most Roman lifestyle she could find. Styling herself the new queen of Thebes, she luxuriates in both the thrill of sands and the urbane trappings of a well-paid exhibitionary auxiliary to the Morituri.
Nothing brings her greater joy than hearing the crowds chant the name she chose while she dominates her opponents with ferocious and precise strikes."
The sculpt here was done by Benoit Cauchies based on the artwork by Yasmine Putri. I think the model looks great and full of grace as she strides forward swinging her sword at an opponent.
What do you think?

Stunning! Absolutely stunning!
Amazing looking sculpt.
I’ve always really loved the look of Arena Rex, there seems to be not many outlets for the minis in the UK however which is a shame really.
Aye, it’d be easier to take a crap in the Queens handbag than get hold of Arena Rex in the UK.

Get those buttocks ready, the Queen is opening her handbag

Nice, time to dabble in Arena Rex.
man, I still have a box of their stuff to paint back from the initial Kickstarter campaign. Really must get on that…
Beautiful paint job.
Love their stuff, but cannot deal with resin game pieces. Way to delicate for me, and I like the way primer and paint take to metal. If they ever do some in metal I will be all over them, but I know others would be pissed as they see things in the opposite direction.
a fabulous looking figure.
