The Martian Front Enters Its Final Days
May 29, 2013 by dracs
The Kickstarter for All Quiet on the Martian Front is starting to wind down. With less than a week to go we have been shown some of the vehicles which the British have brought to fight off the martian invaders.
I don't know about the rest of you, but I want a go in that Mono-Tank!
The trend of real world designs being mixed with pulp sci-fi continues in these models and it goes to create a range which has a real charm to it. The designs are, at one and the same time, both bizarre and, to some extent, believable.
Though for once it seems to be the British who believe that bigger means better as their landship the Benedict Arnold is a good 2" bigger than the American Dewey Class Ironclad.
Compensating for something Brits?
Now is your last chance, head to the Kickstarter and join the fight. Your planet needs you!

Saw this a little while back and told myself not to forget……………….. Thanks for the nudge Sam! As I did forget. 🙁
Dare I say that those martians look out of this world?…. 😛 hehe
We’re expecting an update on the BEF tonight, some of the models may be getting a redesign, for example the imperial tank show above. AD are listening to the feedback as a few of us think it looks too modern. Loving the wheeler, and the land ironclad though!
Well worth checking out the KS on this one, some great ideas and cool minis. ALien Dungeon have really engaged well with the pledgers on this one. Full credit to them and can’t wait for the game to arrive in December!
brit tank should look like the tank in Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade http://www.aviarmor.net/tww2/photo/gb/heavy_tank_mk8/heavy_ijlc_1.jpg
The Main Service Tank reminds me of the sprites for the Light Tanks from Dune II: Battle for Arrakis.
Not keen on the MBT and the turret on the armoured car. The aesthetic doesn’t fit with the other contraptions which I love.
The body of the battle tank is more like post-WW2 than pre-WW1
The new designs are up and look a lot more fitting 🙂 http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1117201778/all-quiet-on-the-martian-front-miniature-tanks-vs/posts/494050?ref=email&show_token=9ef8284b1e0a9aa9
The BEF reboot is about 100% better, and there’s been a lot of new units revealed this morning. I didn’t like the original BEF tanks, but the new stuff is fantastic.
