Fly From The Nine With The Lord Of The Rings: The Card Game
May 15, 2013 by brennon
The Lord of the Rings: The Card Game has got another Saga Expansion on the way, The Black Riders. Check out the cover art and some of the cards below for this expansion from Fantasy Flight Games...
The Black Riders allows you to start a continuous adventure, or campaign, from The Shire and eventually through other box sets all the way to the slopes of Mount Doom. In The Black Riders you'll be charting Frodo, Sam, Merry and Pippins' journey from The Shire to Bree and beyond from The Fellowship of the Ring.
The artwork once again is superb for this game and really serves to invest you in the world of Middle-Earth. As well as that the game is exceptionally good and if you haven't played it I would seriously suggest picking it up.
Will you be helping Frodo on his road to Mount Doom with his precious cargo?
Let me know!

Having had LOTR LCG for a week now and enjoying it this does appeal.
Lots of catching up to do first though.
Would The Hobbit be a good first expansion to get?
You can get any of the saga expansions you want really once you have the base game. I do like The Hobbit ones though as they have a nice progressive nature to them and they also have a neat way of adding treasure and weapons to your game each time you play.
Certainly a good ‘campaign’ mode for the LotR LCG.
Sorry if there is a more appropriate forum to ask Ben, Looked for somewhere in the forums but couldn’t find anywhere to ask a question
Have failed to beat the first quest with the Lore Deck
I wondered if the starting threat level was too high at 30.
I seem to have problems balancing out the hero’s capabilities in this deck
Maybe we could have a card game/board game section
(Don’t tell me there is one and i missed it!)
