First and Only Make Killing Zombies an Airsoft Reality
May 14, 2013 by dracs
First and Only are a group who offer all kinds of airsoft fighting fun. Ranging from sniper combat to close quarters, they are sure to bring out your inner Rambo. But they also offer an experience unlike any other. Grab your airsoft gun and face off against their zombie apocalypse!
With some great zombie make up and atmospheric setting, First and Only have succeeded in creating a truly intense LARP experience which will make you feel like you are in the midst of a genuine zombie horror.
They were first brought to our attention when they showed up at the Mantic Open Day.
Their zombie survival LARP proved to be a great success got us interested in their full scale events.
At present First and Only run their zombie experiences in two venues perfectly suited for creating an event of action packed horror.
They run it in an abandoned Nuclear Bunker! How cool is that?
The combination of environment, realistic weaponry and excellent make up look to go together to make an immersive and intense airsoft experience.
Justin has said that he may head down to one of these in September. I think he would make the perfect zombie, don't you? If you would like to join in just put your name down in the comments below and we may see about getting a BoW Zombie killing party running.
Remember, when being chased by zombie you don't have to be the fastest. You just have to be faster than Warren.
Intense is definitely the world I can describe it. Add a bit of self role playing and wow the game becomes the experience of a lifetime.
its why plans are in motion to get a game on here, from the sound of things it’ll be a bank holiday in august.
It is events like this that make me wish I hadn’t hung up (i.e. sold on) all my airsoft kit. I had an excellent USAF Pararescue and Resident Evil STARS loadout a few years ago. Blooming mortgage.. and kids.. and stuff.. 🙁
This seems like a great game!!! What size board is it played on? I am hoping it is the Deadzone mat as it would be great to re-carpet my house in a zombie Apocalypse theme!! 😀

What about eyeprotection for the Zombies? I wouldn´t want to be shot in the face by the guns as a Zombie. Apart from that quite interesting.
think your instructed on where to aim its a common sense thing mostly 🙂
Crikey. While that adds a certain level of realism I’ve no idea how they get the insurance to run those events then. Even with the kind of low FPS you might get from “cheap” springer airsoft guns or super-weak AEGs, every airsoft event I have ever been to required eye protection at a minimum and recommended full face protection too. I wonder how they get around it?
I’m amazed at the lack of gear, too. I’ve been in plenty of gimmick games from prison riots (at Ft Ord) to hillbilly moonshine feuds… I’ve seen pellets embedded in earlobes and broken teeth off a bad ricochet (my suggestion: FULL face gear). It doesn’t matter where you’re instructed to aim, a pellet is going to bounce.
Watched one of their videos, it looks like they are wearing eye protection, at least. I assume they remove them for their promo photos.
No there was no promo act here, all the gear is provided.by the organisers whom the game days. Including the ammo. However on the mantic open day had no ammo and was fully Larp designed there for the guns was dry fired which allowed anyone to play at any age, hence there was no eye protection in the photos. In the Video you see the an actual game being played with all the gear which is provided and ammo being fired.
Would be better with paintball, red pellets too. Now that’d be interesting….
