Sword & Board Games Unleash Their Shadow Troll
May 10, 2013 by brennon
Sword & Board Games have revealed an image of their Shadow Hold Troll and while currently in the 3D render stage it does look fairly awesome right now. See what you think...
This burly fellow is just one of their upcoming miniatures that will eventually be part of a full skirmish game based in their unique universe. The rules for this are still in production but watch this space for when they get released.
For now though let's check out this Shadow Hold Troll and give our opinions on what it's like so far.
What do you think?
I kinda like this one. He looks angry like he is going to cut head off from some unfortunate who gets in his way.
Like the his posture and angry face but something is wrong. He looks to clean, looks like his in a computer game, all the stiches and strappings are too straight and just to clean. The knee pads are they even worn? And where did he buy them? cause they are very clean and straight, almost like whoever made them had access to a computer and a cnc machine.
Ruff him up and he will be fine but for now you can clearly see that it,s computer made
I can see wear and tear on the armor plates and the axe blade as well as asymmetry in the stitches… It’s got the usual amount of chipping and scratching, as far as I can see. I’m used to doing weathering with paint anyway.
I think you’re perhaps confused by the 3D rendering’s shiny aspect…
In any case, I like him just the way he is !
You seem to have missed the point that this is a 3D computer rendered image, not a real physical figure, which is why is looks shiny and a little bit too perfect
🙂
I think it looks great, but one thing I do think looks a little odd… I don’t think the feet are big/long enough.. unless they are supposed to have dainty feet 🙂
Possibly
I’m 6’3″ with size 9s so the feet look fine to me.
but then I also look a bit like him and think he’s very handsome.
Looks just fine. Only critique I have is the axe head needs to be turned a bit so it looks like he knows how to use it.
I wonder if the actual mini will be as detailed as this very nice 3D image.
