Become Superheroes With Guardians Chronicles by IELLO Games
April 23, 2013 by brennon
IELLO Games have a great looking new Kickstarter up focusing on their board game, Guardians Chronicles which pits superheroes against villainous foes!
"The Liberty Patrol is a group of superheroes fighting for justice and against all threats that could put the lives of honest citizens in danger. Its members are Sergeant Freedom, charismatic and fearless leader; Super Nova, unleashing destructive energy bursts; Golden Boy, unstoppable war machine; and Adam Spell, powerful and mysterious magician!"
The company are aiming for $40,000 right now to get the game out there to people and stretch goals will introduce new heroes and more to the different pledge levels. Check out what you get in the box...
You can also grab some painted versions of the miniatures if you pledge high enough. Check out one of the first miniatures, Sergeant Freedom below.
The art style reminds me of Sentinels of the Multiverse, a very successful card game, and that's a good thing indeed. It looks like a lot of the emphasis here has been put on making it a fun comic book experience with plenty of interesting characters to come.
As you can see there is quite a lot still to come with this project and if you take a look at the video above it gives you an overview of the way the game is played.
What do you think of this game so far?

worst trailer ever and it looks ok is the thing
That is looking pretty good.

Not a very good ‘how to play’ video. I’m considering supporting it anyway because I love comic book stuff, but I’m going to wait a little to see if they release some better info first.
Thinking along the same lines tbh. the videos are very underwhelming imho. I want to know why this game is good, not some generic comic sketch. I think it would have to make a lot of stretch goals for me to invest tbh. At $100+$25 postage, I would want something a little more than what is on offer. I think at this stage they are relying on bright colours and good comic graphics for the sale. I think when they produce a decent video, people will be knocked off the fence one way or another. Personally, I want to like… Read more »
Wow that didn’t even have sound. Even having the maker talk would have helped. Not for me at this point.
The KS is updated with clearer, more precise, and good stretch goals added. Gone are the confusing stretch goals no one wanted. More figures added to the core box game.
The fans complained and they listened and reworked the project, check it out.
