Fight On New Starfields For Fantasy Flight’s X-Wing

If you've been using your kitchen table to play X-Wing on for the past few months and you're looking for something a bit more substantial to keep you in the zone then how about these Starfield from Fantasy Flight Games...
The game kit contains:-
- Twelve tiles, each one-foot square
- Durable 2.5 mm fiber board
- Smooth, matte-finished card stock
- Wide possible range of vivid Star Wars–themed scenes
The quality of it looks great with some thick stock and a nice finish to make sure its reusable. Check out one of the ways you can configure the game tiles below...
You can now easily fight off the Death Star as it approaches Alderaan. This could be your chance to reverse history and save the planet from destruction!
As you can see from this image you've got some good glossy looking tiles and it looks neat with the actual ships on it. It should be fun to see what kinds of sets they get sorted for the future.
Do you think you'll be picking up these sets for X-Wing?

Complete Death Star, complete Alderaan, mix of the two, some meteors to throw into any of those. Quite a nice range of possibilities and they look very good quality too (wouldn’t expect anything less from FFG).
Now I just wait with baited breath to hear how much these will be.
this looks like it could be a good buy, only problem i can see is tiles moving during gameplay.
Glossy Matte-finished tiles 😉
Look handy though… I wonder how much a set will be 12x£2 maybe £24 a set with any luck. Can see them charging £35 full retail though. You can pick up one of the nice looking starfield roll-ups for £30. So they’d probably want to compete with that price.
We play on a cotton sheet 😀
Im getting this game for my birthday next week from the family. STAY ON TARGET!!!! Newwwwwwww, LASER LASER LASER! POW!
look very nice may pick some up if more players pick up x wing in my area
I kind of like the rigid board, it’ll go along with my death star tiles. I’m not sure, in play, if it’s superior to the various vinyl mats out there, now. No one likes seams and they can get bumped around (eg: vs Battlefield in a Box mats from Gale Force 9).
