Ninja Division are Bringing Mechanised Mayhem to Kickstarter
April 18, 2013 by dracs
Ninja Division, the guys making the miniatures for the upcoming wargame Robotech RPG Tactics, have just launched their new kickstarter!
This kickstarter will allow you to get funding what look to be some really promising sculpts. Just check out some of these concepts and renders which have been published on the project.
These mechs have a very interesting style which clearly reflects their anime inspired roots. All in all I am looking forward to seeing what Ninja Division can do with the power of kickstarter and to them bringing the role playing game of Palladium Books into strategy wargaming.
This kickstarter should hopefully allow Ninja Division to create the forces of the Zentraedi and UEDF, so if you feel like engaging in a robotic clash of arms why not head over and pledge your support?
Will any of you be funding this mechanised warfare?
It will be interesting to see if they eventually add Mospeda and Southern Cross stuff.
According to Sembieda, the plan is to bring out all the eras, in order, all the way to the Shadow Chronicles stuff.
I cant wait for Invid!
Is that what those are called in Robotech? I have never seen it but I have seen two of three seperated original animes that were used to make it. After all those don’t have any connection to each other and connections were something created in Robotech.
Models look pretty nice. 🙂
wanting to pledge but having a problem understanding how many miniatures you get as the writing states less than is shown in the pictures (at least the way I am reading it, as I am dyslexic and sometimes have problems understanding these things, hehe. Sorry)
Could you please let me know how many figures you get in the Battle Cry pledge level.
Writing states 28,
Pic shows 41
Many Thanks in advance,
Mick
I think your confusion might arise in that they provide miniatures of the multiple modes of the fighters. 4x Valkyrie fighters = 12 miniatures (3 modes each).
Thanks for your response mate. Really apprieceate it. 🙂
I suspect I am about to be clubbed to death by a fiance who will have even more minis to paint put on her worktable.
Not really, she loves painting. The clubbing will be due to the crazy amount of cash I throw at this.
Don’t want to call you a lier mate. But, you mentioned putting YOUR models on HER worktable. Sorry but I believe this is an impossability due to the complete lack of females in our hobby. Unless gendre realignment is responsible for this. But I have to admit that I don’t know much about that. ;D hehe (joking ofc)
Mick
I will agree to perpetuate this myth to stave off poachers.
“Obviously, I have difficulty overcoming the language barrier and, in english, screw up gender pronouns with regularity.”
Is this what I know as Macross?
I might not be expert when it comes to Robotech but if I am correct it was made from three animes and one of those was Macross. Its also reason why Harmony Gold back in day sued FASA and forced removing mech designs taken from those that were in Battletech. Those designs would then be known as unseens.
This first set is from the Macross portion of Robotech, yes.
The other two anime are Southern Cross and Genesis Climber Mospeada – none of which appear in the kickstarter (so far?).
Looks good love pretty much anything with GIANT ROBOTS!. Would pledge but between getting ready to buy a house and few impulse buys on the way from Japan i am fully committed.
