A Mighty Bearded Warrior Takes Shape From Scibor
April 15, 2013 by brennon
Alas no it isn't a miniature of me, but Scibor do indeed have another 28mm warrior in the works for their expanding fantasy range. Check him out below...
This model that's been sculpted by Tomek looks like it could be a human, although the beard is beginning to make me think it's a Dwarf. I'm not quite sure but I do think it looks great all the same.
The facial hair reminds me of the Slavic nations and I like his tribal garb giving him that barbarian appearance. Another great character model that's for sure.
Will he be joining your role-playing group?

I always have a soft spot for savage warriors.
I thought him a Dwarf Berserker tbh.
Little too muscle bound for my tastes but good all the same
Scibor faces are pretty darn good and this one is excellent imho
The Scibor humans so far, have had ‘dwarfitis’. They are all too squat, which is a shame, as they are still fabulous sculpts. Good for one’s and two’s here and there in an army I suppose, but I wouldn’t want my entire army looking like it lives at McDonald’s. Having said that, I’ve bought quite a few Scibor dwarf sculpts, and all their stuff gives me Shiny Syndrome.
Floor to hip should be half the total height.
Generally looks better to be slightly over than under which gives a stunted appearance.
The occasional individual would be okay with shorter legs as that is reflected in the diversity of body shapes but not as the norm imho.
Can never have enough Bearded warriors by your side or in your army
Things you wouldn’t expect a Queen of the Amazons to say:
Can never have enough Bearded warriors in your army
