And here was me thinking you were going to talk about Tau shield generators. 🙁 Anyway I might use these the week end to hide my crises suits and drones after they do their sneaky bit of shooting if there is not a building available.
Chaos Daemon week anytime soon?
Much to my dismantlement… there not doing a Chaos week because they said the book was shit, therefore there not doing on. They probably will do a Tau one eventually, if they decide that it’s awesome. I hate to sound cynical, but I’ve lost a lot of faith in beasts of war lately in regards to 40k and Games workshop. It’s would be nice to get a nice impartial view and discussion on the latest Codex to be relised in 40K like they used to. That that first brought me to Beasts of War. If there going to pick and… Read more »
“Much to my dismantlement… there not doing a Chaos week because they said the book was shit, therefore there not doing on. They probably will do a Tau one eventually, if they decide that it’s awesome.” OK Having read this I went round and asked everyone in the studio when the above was decided … considering it’s me that makes these kinds of decisions I was both shocked and appalled at myself for making such a decision without having the courtesy to let myself know about it … disgraceful! However I have been told that I have made no such… Read more »
Sorry Warren. 🙁 I guess I’m just venting over how the local gamers in my area have this very “Anti-GW” mentality of late. The last last place I should be expressing this is here, I just had a bad few weeks listing to people complaining about prices, codexes, models and the such, and I just lost my mind for a moment. Much to my “dismantlement” lol. That’s spell check for you.
You guys really do a great job with all your videos, keep up the good work.
Don’t worry about it 🙂
We had a chuckle at the ‘dismantlement’ – and put it down to a classic predictive text clanger 🙂
My iPad does this all the time!
Great find guy’s Im still going to try my luck on the gun- emplacements but this is a fun thing for my next match 🙂
Very interesting that its there in the book but also sad that its there in the terrain section that people could do stuff like that.
Would be better for a section like “special terrain for narrative/campaign games” where both players know about it clearly before and the table/game can be made interesting then just pulling a “got ya” move.
Just my 2p
a ripe camembert
Good find I’ve never spotted that rule let alone seen them used.
superb! now when these guys are back online its gonna get some Anton loving…

I think Darrell was holding teleport homers and not shield generators from the Macragge set. I think the shield generators were the taller “fence post” looking pieces from that set. They were taller than a Space Marine and they had an imperial eagle on top. That little piece he was holding also comes on a Terminator sprue. It would be funny piece of “cheese” cake, though, to turn it back on your opponent. You say, “Actually that is a teleport homer…and my Termies are coming in right here…” I guess you would have to agree before the game, if it… Read more »
I like your cheese hunters section and it does make me laugh at what little nuggets are there in the main rule books, but in my opinion I don’t think you shouldn’t be advocating “sneaking” somthing on the table and trying to gloss over what it does to disadvantage the other player. Cheese is alright as by definition it is legal in the rules, but should not be done in an underhand manner unless you are the type of person that can only have a satifying game with that sense that you got one over on someone because of something… Read more »
Some of the cheese on these videos stink to high heaven. But this is the kind of cheese that’s more pallet able. I would try to keep it fair though and have a set of generators for my opponent as well. Chances are he wouldn’t have planned his army with them and you still would have the upper hand. Also if you brought only one pair in the terrain pile and your not picking first, theirs a good possibility that you gave your opponent a free shield generator.
