Fantasy Flight Infest Venice with Lovecraftian Horror
April 10, 2013 by dracs
Ah, Venice! Few cities in the world have the same reputation of revelry, mystery and, it seems lately, Cthulhu, as Fantasy Flight are heading to unique location with their new expansion for the Call of Cthulhu card game.
Terror in Venice sees the living card game of Call of Cthulhu enter the canals of Venice. So alongside Carnevale it seems that Venice is going to get pretty full of Lovecraftian horrors.
This themed set brings with it all 165 new cards to help you play out the horrific conspiracies taking place in Venice.
These cards should provide a new dynamic to the game, as well as new situations and styles to play through and against.
Do any of you play the Call of Cthulhu card game?

It’s bad enough that the entire city is slowly sinking into what is essentially now sewage. Do all of the fantasies surrounding Venice have to be as bleak as it’s ultimate fate in reality?
Side note: Is Venice the new New Orleans? I remember when every game on the shelf from almost any genre had a New Orleans sourcebook or New Orleans themed expansion. New Orleans was the inexplicably romantic dank cess pit that gothic monsters called home in the 90s. Is Venice the festering hole for this decade’s games?
I haven’t played Call of Cthulhu in a while, but I might have to pick this expansion up.
