Infinity Show Off Their March Releases
March 25, 2013 by dignity
It's that time of the month again as the guys from Infinity break out another set of amazing new miniatures.
Lets get the ball rolling with the PanOceania Support Pack. This is a Re-Pack of the already existing miniatures. featuring the PanOceania Doctor, Engineer and helper remotes. Always useful in an extermination battle and even more during the missions of the Campaign: Paradiso Book.
Next up we have another jaw dropping mini for those ALEPH players out there, Penthesilea, the Amazon Warrior from the Steel Phalanx. This is one mean looking sexy biker chick and it's one of those minis that just screams, buy me!
Not to be out done, the Combined Army have their own offering, the Shasvastii Sabotage & Destruction Unit Caliban. This trooper comes equipped with a Feuerbach which is the key weapon of the Caliban fireteam. A very effective ailen killer, that can have a devastating effect on your opponent in it's active turn.
Ariadna are one of those armies you'll love or hate (love playing them hate to play against them) but Caledonian Volunteers for the Caledonian Highlander Armyadd, basic line infantry that may have felt lacking in numbers on the field are now in a separate blister and packing a Heavy Machine Gun. There really is only one way to describe this miniature. Useful, Basic, and very much a killer.
Last up we have the Reverend Moiras for the Nomads. This is a new re-sculpt with all the weapon options of the Moiras. This multi-part set comes with the HMG and MULTI Sniper Rifle that every Moira Fireteam needs.
So that's the lot for this month guy's but don't forget to drop your thoughts below about the new goodies and what your thinking for your force updates.
Need to get me the biker chick!
New minis for Aleph just make want to start another faction.
That biker model is a thing of beauty. Amazing released once again. Infinity really is setting the standard IMO.
Sorry, fat finger on ipad pressed down rate instead of up and it won’t change it. My bad.
Simply fantastic releases.
Penthesilea !
I think this is the first of the Aleph miniatures to be on the Trojan side. Achilles, Patrocles, Ajax and teh myrmidons are all fighting for the greek side.
Beautiful story, though. She gets to Troy with twelve of her amazons, but I think they all die. And then she fights Achilles himself, and she dies, but in the instant of her death she appears so fierce and beautiful that Achilles falls in love with her…
Kinky !
And then Achilles was like “awe damn I killed my love, well that’s what I get for hitting a woman.”
J/K I can actually write more cause in my mind Achilles sounds like your stereotypical surfer and he is way too cool a character to degrade him too far. Farce was always my favorite though I do enjoy a good tragedy.
You are correct however it is a great tale, many of the older ones are though. Too bad we don’t see more of these except in passing reference.

Well my writing is atrocious this morning. I meant “can’t actually write more” not “can.” wish I could edit my posts. that’s what I get for trying to quickly respond to something.

I might be wrong here (haven’t finished the Iliad yet), but afaik isn’t “falling in love” a little too euphemistic for “violating her corpse”?
Yeah… The actual sex act is a point of debate, but it’s close anyway. He falls in love with her, and, overwhelmed at the sight of her (still fresh) dead body, commits necrophilia, whether he simply “lies with her” or rapes her corpse. Which is bad, kids. However, it’s not exactly out of perversity… I mean, corpses aren’t usually his “thing”. He just can’t be with her any other way. Still gross, of course. But Achilles is notoriously impetuous, and no stranger to the rivers of Hades himself. Later on, he gets the ugliest and most foul-mouthed Greek of the… Read more »
It makes one wonder where the history ends and the mythologizing begins. There was a time when historians thought the whole Trojan War was a work of fiction. Then they found the ruins of Troy. Even though it’s pretty obvious that most of the story and characters are works of fiction, there were historic figures and events who may have served as the foundation upon which those legends were constructed.
What really happened at Troy to inspire the legends? It’s a shame we’ll probably never know.
Quite well Roman, I especially love the part of not judging old traditions with out present day eyes, which is entirely true.
In Infinity Penthesilea was created by Aleph as a simulated personality, much like Achilles, but in contrast to most named Greek personalities, to accompany him in the battle and keep him out of trouble.
Thank you…
What good is a degree from the Sorbonne if you don’t use it ? 😉
Haha, Let’s not hear your rendition of what happened, please.
Moar ariadna!
If only I could paint tartans ..
There’s a tartan painting tutorial on Beasts of War, backstage…
I’ve done it on the William Wallace figure.
Feel free to check it out !
Nice models as always.
Looks like my ALEPH force is gonna grow another 46 points.
