Maredudd ab Owain, King Of Britons will be released by Gripping Beast for the Dark Age game of SAGA at Salute this year. Check out the miniature below...
Maredudd ab Owain was considered one of the great kings and as well as raiding the lands of Mercia he in turn held of Viking incursions into his own lands. He was also very generous, paying vast sums of silver to get captured warriors back from his enemies.
When you play SAGA he can lead a Welsh warband into battle so if they are your faction of choice, you now have a worthy leader.

He looks kinda messed up.
Not my faction but I will pre order one for Salute. Practice painting tartan as well.
Might have to add a Welsh army to my collection this mini has real character about it captures the tge Dark quality of the ancient Welsh
That tartan is done well. Wish I could paint like that.
