Warmachine & Hordes Both Get Some Deadly Hunters
March 13, 2013 by brennon
Privateer Press has more in the upcoming releases section of their website for Warmachine and Hordes. Check out Cylena Raefyll & Nyss Hunters and the hound Argus below...
"After fleeing the blighted terror that consumed her homeland, Cylena Raefyll leads a strong band of fanatically loyal warriors against her despised foes. The skilled hunters of the Raefyll tribe are expert stalkers capable of unleashing withering fire from their compound bows and deadly harm from their elegantly curved Nyss claymores."
"Ferocious two-headed canines whose frames are thick with muscle, argus are keen hunters. They are as impossible to elude as they are to surprise, as they constantly survey the terrain with their acute vision. While their two powerful sets of jaws are an asset in any fight, these beasts are equally valued for their paralyzing bark. This immobilizing howl can stagger even the mightiest of enemies, leaving them open for the kill."
Some more mighty fine miniatures from Privateer Press, I do especially like the Warmachine unit. Argus is of course good looking too and would be from the faction I would play in Hordes. Can't turn down werewolves!
Are you Warmahorde fans looking forwards to their release?

It’s about time. Ms Raefyll has long been overdue for a repackage and resculpt. Though at first glance, I think I prefer the old Cylena but the new Hunters.
Too bad it’s not resculpted, just consolidated… I wish they would resculpt them… along with every old everblight elf 🙁
Wait… what? They already have an argus sculpt, in plastic no less. Technically, they have two argus sculpts already if you count the winter argus. I don’t mind. I kind of like this new one better. I just don’t get why. Do you think they’re going to change the battle box one too? And where is that new satyr sculpt they teased us with months ago? I don’t understand PP’s release schedule anymore.
Cylena and those Nyss Hunters are welcome addition to plastic range and I am really looking forward getting those to my Everblight. With Argus I don’t really understand was another new sculpt really needed. There already is plastic Argus.
Those Nyss Hunters aren’t plastic according to their page on the PP gallery – check the info box under the 360 flash viewer; says they’re white metal.
That argus is not even a new sculpt. It’s the same that comes in the Hordes two player battlebox.
This is not the same sculpt. http://privateerpress.com/hordes/gallery/starter-products/hordes-two-player-battlegroup-box The battlebox argus has the same pose as the winter argus sculpt (the other way around actually, since the regular argus was released first). It’s rearing on it’s hind legs and the two heads are both kind of baring their teeth. It’s basically the same as the winter argus sculpt but with less fur and slightly different armor. This is a new sculpt. It’s different from the plastic sculpt and different from the old metal sculpt. It’s less dynamic than the previous plastic sculpt but it still looks better IMHO because the old… Read more »
That’s weird. I checked my two player box and it has that same picture as in your link. But the actual miniature is definitely the new sculpt. I hadn’t even noticed the diffrence before. Must be some recent change to differentiate the normal argus from the winter argus.
Well, that answers one of my questions. They must have just begun shipping the two-player boxes with the new sculpt fairly recently because the one I bought in January still has the old sculpt in it (it could have been sitting in a warehouse for a while too). I guess that they’ll start shipping the Circle battle box with the new sculpt too once they burn through their current stock. Or maybe they’ll keep a few of the old sculpts around since that box has two plain argus minis rather than an argus and a winter argus?
The two-player battlebox comes with one Argus and one Winter Argus. The one-player Circle battlebox, however, comes with two Arguses and does not include a Winter Argus. The two Arguses in this battlebox have two different poses. My guess is that the two-player battlebox comes with a random Argus out of the two available poses, hence the difference between yours and julemikk’s. If that’s the case, I’d also assume that if you buy a plastic Argus separately (and until this release you haven’t been able to do that, the separate ones were metal until this new one replaces it) you’ll… Read more »
