Mercs: FCC Faction Interview

Andy and Darrell get to grips with the FCC, the anti-Mega-con faction of MERCS. These guys are made up of all the disenfranchised workers from the other corporations and can even hire out a black ops team member from the other factions! What do you think? Will you be fighting to free the world of Mercs?

Great, interview. I love the FCC. Best Blackop IMO is the ISS Wavefinder. If you bring the Liason you have effectively 8 card movement on turn 1. Or you have the ability to move up the board 5 cards, and then use the Liason’s PA to drop the turret. Nothing like having 6 models on the board and in position Turn 2.
Tobin, this might be the greatest thing I have ever read and I will need to check this out. I never even thought about that.
And sorry for a follow up. It would be cool to do the move and drop, however after thinking on it since you lose your PA’s you wouldn’t be able to bound with yourself so you can’t move the eight cards. You can however move the four cards since you get quick on your feet.
Sidenote: FCC is a great faction even without blackops add on in my opinion.
no need for sorry’s. She would get the quick on your feet to move 1 before game starts. Then if she binds to another model she gets 1 MP. So now she’s got an effective 5. Then when she’s done moving she gets an extra action so she can move another 3, for total of 8. It would mean you’d need a higher initiative though. Same 8 cards works with the Calypso too making a turn 2 siren song kill a possibility.
and I second your sidenote sir!!! 😀
Okay now I see it I was looking at it like she was binding with herself giving her four movement each time.
Just want to say, I am enjoying these videos A LOT, and I think they ‘sell’ the game very well. Starting from zero interest in MERCS I’m now at the point where I just need need to decide if I can wait for the Euro Corp faction, or if I absolutely MUST have some other faction first.
Hmm you forgot some members again.
Sure you get a general overview of the faction, but it feels weird to go in-depth with only four of the six model you get in the box and leaving the others out completely.
And this is not the only video where missed some.
Is there a limited timeframe for you to discuss the individual factions?
Does is make sense to take these guys with no black op? Looking at the cards it seems feasible especially with the saboteur and the chem engineer. I realize that this would give the Boomer fewer options, but with a range 4 grenade I think that I can bear that consequence with tremendous fortitude. Keep in mind that I have yet to play a game, I’m just spit balling here.
