Darrell and Andy sit down with the MERCS guys for the first of our chats about the background and style of each faction. Today it's the mighty CCC, but will they become your faction?

Might just be my faction of choice! Although I am wavering on possibly the USCR too lol. Heck might have to try and get hold of both of them.

Met these guys at GenCon and they are the nicest company you’ll ever meet. CCC was my first choice but my buddy bought the starter before me. Now I puinish him with my KemVar.
Nice to see some close ups of the models, as the MERCS site needs a bit of work for newbies wanting their first purchase imo. Like the models, and the one game I had was with them against Kemva. I won as I think the terrain was a bit in my favour and I was able to get to ground and bounce bullets off the approaching Kemva. This might not be the place to ask this, but I will. My friend who plays this often said that on challenge with the game is it’s really easy to get into a camping mode and just wait for the other team to come to you. Now if they do the same it becomes a mexican standoff of some sort. Is this true? and how has the game handled this issue if it is a problem?
I would think that would only happen if power gamers played against each other tbh. If you set up a scenario to rescue someone, sitting there waiting for the enemy to come to you is a bit lame imho, and you probably wouldn’t get as much out of winning with that tactic anyway, except a few boring hours and a win under your belt. 🙂
@manpug This has come up a couple times in our local tournaments but its rare. A good player will always find a way around it (Debris Crawl, S2C). You can stay put, or you can capitalize on your opponents complacency. Several of us have been working on a list of scenarios to counter this, so don’t let that discourage you.
Thanks @tobin 🙂 this really helps me understand it is a possibility but easy to overcome and as @broadside mentioned why would they do that if a scenario is needed to be met? I guess they where just doing team vs. team for that to happen.
