Conquest Games Start Breeding A Pit Full Of Demons
February 14, 2013 by brennon
Conquest Games have stepped away from the historical range and are looking at adding some High Fantasy to their collection. Check out these Demon Spawn as a one off set...
I'm assuming that these miniatures are 28mm, although they do look a little small for that scale.Overall they do have a little bit of an old school feel to them, with maybe one or two of them being stand out miniatures.
Could be a fun little addition to an already bursting demonic force.
Do you think you'll be grabbing these Demon Spawn?
There is old school and then there is … well, naive.
This is old school http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/547/brother321.jpg/
Agreed they aren’t great but I do quite like the two in the middle.

Ouch! Really no likey. Swords or baseball bats? shields or chocolate buttons?
Nice bases though. 🙂
Not the best that has graced the pages of Beasts of War.
The standard and expectation for miniatures has increased and IMHO there has to be a level of sophistication in the models for them to be worthwhile.
Even making old-school minis would require the sculpts to display current levels of acceptable quality. There are just to many better alternatives out there.
The words “static” and “silly” spring to mind. Maybe they’d look better if they had one foot on a rock? 🙂
…and a chopper the size of Japan! 😉
I think you are being a bit harsh there @Cpauls1. I don’t think they are at all static, as I can certainly see a bit of shallow breathing going on with the cake decoration on the right. 😛
Probably better than I can do to be fair, hehe. Might have to try it one day and let you all rip the urine outta me.
Well I can appreciate the effort that went into these, I’m quite certain sculptor worked to best of his/her abilities. I can see there is some detail that must have been quite hard to do and if the author continues to work, he/she can only get better.
The harsh reality though, is that these minis have to compete on the market with everything else. Some of it worse, but also a lot of it better.
If the price is right, these could perhaps be useful as statues for scenery.
