The World Eaters Rampage Out of Forge World
February 11, 2013 by dracs
The World Eaters were always a vicious fighting force, even before they gave themselves to Khorne. Well Forge World have embodied that viciousness with this new unit; the Rampagers!
Formed from the most blood thirsty fighters of the unit and given prohibited surgery to enhance their skills, the Rampager squads were experts in close combat fighting, utilising the brutal weaponry of the gladiatorial arenas of their home world.
A unit of berserker gladiators? That's pretty awesome! Just as long as none of them turn out to be Russel Crowe.
Do you guys fancy facing these on the historic fields of 40k?

I don’t know… something about them looks stiff.
Meanwhile, heavy armour at Corvus Belli

🙂 Stiff is the word, I agree
I don’t know how you can possibly compare the heavy armour of Infinity and the Heavy armour of 40k. They are 2 completely different settings with completely different sets of lore (the former seems to follows the rather embarrassing trend that the less armour a female wears, the better).
Is there some aversion in the Infinity universe to stand on 2 feet?

If you look at the latest Wildcat, the arm holding the gun looks like a straw.

Don’t get me wrong, some of the Infinity models are great, and I own a fair few, but the range certainly isn’t perfect.
Have to agree with you with regards to the straw arm!! never noticed that tbh. Other than that though, what did the Romans ever do for us?… Oops, I mean everything else Infinity is the aceist!! (when they get the last few old models replaced, but some of them are nice also). Quality control wise though, Infinity have some of the best and I feel GW/Forge World are slowly getting left behind imo. Ok, that may be a subjective statement based on my own desires, but hey, Warren mentioned on the weekender video that it is MY hobby, so you… Read more »
I dunno, but I really want to see them face off against Dark Eldar Wyches…
GW Lawyer Squad is so badass, they’re going to send Forgeworld a C&D letter for their use of term Space Marines!
Since becoming an Infinity fan, I am beginning to find less and less that I like from Forgeworld tbh. I never really understood why you would pay more for resin. personally, I prefer plastic then metal then resin. I have always found a lot more imperfections with resin so I wouldnt really be interested in them anyhow. I have to say the quality seems really poor, perhaps this is a learner sculptor? No offence meant if it is not the case, but I have to be honest. E.g. the poles on the axes and the chains on the flails are… Read more »
Sorry bu these just look kinda weird. Maybe its the heads?
The heads look way too big … imagine what size a helmet would have to be. Overall they most likely are not worth what is being charged for them (i doubt i have to look up the price)
FW must not use the same painters as GW does for their display figs. The overspray white looks badly done on the legs and the faces could use a bit more work.
Looking past the paint, I’m still not really impressed. I understand it’s adding a more dynamic set to your world eaters army, to give it a bit more flair, but they just look unnatural. Though, their painted on eyebrows kinda makes me laugh.
I agree. I think the dual falcatas look pretty sweet though.
Not overly impressed with this lot. I probably could make similar models with a box of Khorne Berzerkers and a box Space Marines. Probably would cost the same, but I would have 3 times the amount of models.
I honestly do not understand why this is form FW and not GW proper, they are not something amazing a small boutique workshop inside the entire organisation puts out its something that looks like belonging to the main line.
Their can be business benefits for splitting a company up. protecting one company from the other etc e.g. one business’s goes bust, it doesn’t bring the other one down. A lot of limited companies do this to protect their “Overall” business idea. E.g. builders split into building, fencing, gardening… you get the idea. Not sure how GW and FW benefit as I haven’t seen their books.
Just had a look on the FW site and the unpainted models look better than these. Maybe the camera angle or paint job or maybe it’s me.
I like them but not at the price FW are asking.
yeah not a fan of those heads…
