MaxMini Release Ogres in Spaaaaaaaace!
January 27, 2013 by dracs
A rather large sci-fi lout is stepping out of MaxMini's webstore. Please welcome the sci-fi ogre. Or else he'll eat ya!
Now I have to say that I don't think this is one of MaxMini's greatest pieces. The sculpt looks to be strangely ill-proportioned and it looks very static, even for a supposed ogre.
Having said this, the armour and the different head sets make for a nice difference to some of Games Workshop's Ogryns.
Be sure to leave us your opinion of MaxMini's sci-fi bruiser below.

He looks rather stocky I thought it was a sci-fi dwarf until I read what it is. Not much on it to indicate its size from the photo.
Same here, it almost looks like a 3-up of Kev White’s Grymn at first glance.
I like the helmet though, similar to a falschirmjaeger, but covers all exept the mutton chops.
I think it needs a much smaller head to give the body a sense of size.
These are nicely detailed so its shame that it goes kinda waste becouse of those static poses and bad proportions.
An ogre is an ogre, not a “large man” so the proportions SHOULD be different. That being said I think the angle the photo was taken is a bit ill-advised, and he appears to be wearing baggy MC Hammer trousers.
@ Poosh, cheers for that, now i cant get the image of ogres charging across the battlefield doing the MC hammer crab dance yelling “cant touch dis” lol
does it help that he’s wearing shades?
errrm no not really
Paint a dog collar on him. Then he would be a modern mc hammer
Then you could put him on the big float in San Fran’s Gay Pride Parade
