Infinity’s Superb October Releases
October 25, 2012 by dignity
It's that time again guys, as the good folks over at Corvus Belli have sent us their latest set of new releases for October! So lets crack on and have a look at this latest offering.
First up we have the beautiful Uxía Mcneill (Covert Action), sporting two Assault pistols and a new troop profile for the Campaign: Paradiso book.
Next in line is Ikadron Batroid & Imetron. This is a new unit for the Combined Army, and with the help from the Imetron AI that beacon provide an extra order. Definitely a handy unit to have.
You may have seen our sneak peek a while back for the Wu Míng, but now they're here and you can finally get your mits on these great minis.
As we all know, PanOceania's Military Orders are always on the grow and this month sees the Crusader Brethen take the field.
Not to be out done, the Tohaa faction is getting a new mini called the Gao-Rael Unit. This guy's packing a sniper rifle and looks perfect for building up your budding Tohaa force.
And finaly in this month's mega set of new minis, we come to the Steel Phalanx from Aleph. This is the starter pack for the Assault sub-section and sees the release of the (engage Ace Ventura voice) Thorakitai, Myrmidon Hacker, Agêma Marksman Eudoros and the veteran Myrmidon Officer.
So that's all for this month and what a treat it's been overall. That's 15 new miniatures this month alone! The Infinity artists and sculptors must be exhausted after this, so don't be shy and give us your thoughts on the new miniatures and tell us what's got you excited for October!!!
Steel Phalanx looks pretty tough to beat. I hope they are all hackable 😀
Yet again a verrrr sexy bunch of releases from the guys at Corvus Belli.
Superb is indeed a good choice to describe them.
I would still want to buy Infinity figures even if the game was was rubbish.
Another must buy for panoceania for me.
I must actually figure out some sort of colour scheme for my collection so I can start painting them, don’t really want to copy the official one as its such a distinctive style of painting it would just look odd in my mediocre painting talent.
Looks like there will be more options for Wu Ming Fireteams on the Imperial Service. I’m personally starting to be a fan of Heavy Infantry Fireteams (Been switching from Keisotsu fireteam to smaller Samurai Fireteams on my JSA with good results). With the grenades on the Wu Ming they can be a nice sollution against warband heavy armies of for those nice parabolic fire gimmicks. I just ask myself when and if they are going to release a model for Takeshi “Neko” Oyama. He has a nice fluff and great stats and weapon setup, and I don’t feel he deserves… Read more »
Argh! I’d conveniently forgotten about Infinity and how fucking awesome their miniatures are, I’d been planning picking up some GW, Malifaux and Bolt Action swag as Christmas presents to myself but after seeing some of these… well, resisting the urge to start up a faction is only met by the difficulty in actually picking a first faction! They’re all so utterly beautiful, varied and dynamic it’s proving difficult picking any one side over the multitude of others which are all a high a standard as they come… The Nomads and Ariadna do stick out as something different, stylish and very… Read more »
Imetrons and the Batroid are a HUGE boost to CA players who are looking to be able to through orders down for their Avatar, Anathematics, Charontids, etc. without going the Monkey route 😉 26 points for 4 orders, two of which are 2x Light Flamethrowers/baggage? YES PLEASE! I’ve already got Uxia and the Bat-Tron blisters waiting to get ordered; November can’t come soon enough!
Agreed, that Ikadron Batroid & Imetron are an auto include thanks to that amazing model and the cool scenarios in Campaign Paradiso
Wow cool, I don’t play Aleph but do collect them and the damn figures are getting better. Anyone has a release day for Uxia?
