Templars, Samurai & Aged Generals in Dystopian Legions
October 22, 2012 by brennon
A whole bunch of concept art, renders, and sneaky peeks have come out for the world of Dystopian Legions from Spartan Games, but they are certainly not finished. Check out these seriously interesting looks at the future of the game below!
First up are these utterly astounding Knights Templar for the Kingdom of Britannia. I don't think there are many words to describe just how epic these are looking! This ancient order has been renewed in the light of the current war and they are working to cement the power house that is the Empire. They are becoming a common sight on the battlefield so watch out for them!
Next up is this strange, strange contraption. The Empire of the Blazing Sun Ryuma Steambike! With mounted shotguns and a deadly samurai on the back of it these (while rather odd looking!) are certainly original ideas for the battlefield. I like that they have kept an almost train like look to the front of it which was typical of the fleets from the Empire of the Blazing Sun.
And last but not least is Colonel Samuel H. MacDonald, one of the most decorated leaders in the Kingdom of Britannia. This now aged fellow had fought in the original battle of Waterloo and been in every major conflict since, bellowing orders from the front lines with reckless abandon. The men look up to him and the others in the gentry acknowledge his tactical know how.
He might not look it, but he is fully useable on the battlefield!
So what do you think of these new previews for Dystopian Legions?

I want the bike a lot. a cloud of exhaust seems like a smarter way to hold a jetbike up than using those thin easy to break and impossible to repair plastic rods…
Wow, just wow! The templar are super awesome, a home run by far. Also that steambike would be cool even just for a painting project. As @cazboab said, that exhaust is such a good idea to hold up the bike.
Fantastic! Not sure I need an old dude in a wheelchair in my army but the rest…
Shaping up to be a real eye catching range. Overall they are some of the best looking minis ive seen in a while.
Those templars are probably the best ‘troop’ type unit models I’ve seen produced for a very long time.
The bike looks like a 40k Plasma gun at the front.
The guy in the wheelchair is just awesome. This range really appeals to me I have to say,
Great, Just what we bloody needed.
Another range of awesome to lust after!
HEEEELP!
This stuff is amazing. I saw preview of some of the vehicles at GenCon this year and they were awesome. Think they’ll run a Kickstarter to get this line off the ground? I’d definitely pledge.
Looking cool. I wonder if they’ll look good mixed in with Dreamforge’s Heavy Eisenkern guys?
The Templars are almost enough to have me quit the idea of building a FSA army
chivalry and knights where much more common on continental soil, and the temple kinghts (also known as deutschritterorden) (the kinight order which was in the crusade, had its stronghold in former prussia (Marien-stronghold) as much as i like britannia, this just not fits.
