Use of the Tau marker lights with the forgefiend could be very harsh.
Taking a small guard army for the AA is tempting…
Would I ally with chaos marines instead of imperial guard… Only one of my armies can ally with chaos, and it IS imperial guard. I suppose I’d take a lord and a cheap pistol and chainsword squad as allies to get access to havocs to kit out with flamers and close combat weapons, or maybe some obliterators for deep strikeing in were they don’t belong, but I could do the same with space marines or blood angels to even greater effect.
sorry tayo51173096 but only tau can use the marker light rule, which sucks ass cause it would really help, but i spose at that point you’d be better off taking some heavy gun spam from imperial guard or other heavy shooty team for chaos.
I think Daemons are the way to go for CSM – that said there’d be nothing better than to corrupt some Tau to do your bidding. I’d imagine a Nurgle-themed rotten Tau allied detachment to smell like a fish market in the sub-continent…I have a Tau Battleforce upstairs…hmmmm…
This said I think Orks would be a good fit for them and vice-versa. Orks with access to either lootas or burnaboyz, then you could take a cheap warboss and have a unit of Nobz running around krumpin’ stuff.
Even still run a Shasui with 3 suits forget the ethereal. take 3 broadsides and then take a full 12 man firewarrior squad. You can mix an match the suits weapon systems give the broadsides target lock and have some fun. I would also run the suits with warp talons for jumping fun :).
The herald from daemons would still have tho deep strike and then join your unit if i’m right. Can it join them on the turn that it arrives if it gets close enought to them??
