The Mighty Cataphractii Terminators Trudge Out of Forge World
October 10, 2012 by brennon
The name that will make trying to order these on the phone an impossibility, the Cataphractii Terminators from the Heresy collection by Forge World are now available on the webstore for you to order. Check out the models and their component pieces below...
Above are the bodies for the Terminators but as you can see they are currently without their weapons. Each of the Terminators can be bought a selection of different weapon options which you can see below...
While it might irk a fair few people that the Terminators don't just come with the power fists as standard I suppose in a way this allows you to customise your selection of Terminators to your preference at the time. Still it doesn't come too cheap and you will still be spending a fair bit more than you would on normal miniatures from Games Workshop.
The quality though is looking good, and the miniatures are fairly awesome. Everyone seems to be loving the Horus Heresy collection so far.
Will you be picking these up?

They look great as you’d expect from Forge World, but they also come with a Forge World price tag, and I only really want one with two fists to convert into a less static Marneus Calgar, and I’m not sure I want one badly enough to pay £10 a model on four other guys.
Ebay the individuals? Bill them as Captain\Chapter Master models or something?
Another in the “Looks great, but that price! Ouch!” department. £45 for 5 Terminator-sized miniatures. But FW has ever been the premium of GW franchise.
I really think that these are darned ugly models, amazing detail and sculpting work, that goes without saying, though I just really dislike the aesthetic look to them.
They look great, but £50 for the guys and one of those weapon sets? Ouch. I’m used to FW being pricey but that stings.
The price tag sounds expensive when you compare them to the plastic terminators.
But if you compare them to the finecast terminator characters, and lets face it these guys have more character than most of the actual “characters” they come in a fair bit cheaper per model.
A finecast librarian in terminator armour is like £14.
