The rulebook powers aside from divination(which my primaris and librarians don’t feckin’ get) just don’t have enough offensive power or passive boost to risk a random roll for them compared to the powers in the codices Lightning arc from the primaris psyker 24″ range S6 ap5 assault 2d6 at BS4? Any av 10 or 11 vehicle is more or less guaranteed to take enough glancing hits to wreck it, and even av 12 is under a decent amount of threat there. Actually thinking about it, the imperial guard orders are more powerful than some of the buffs from the other… Read more »
I much prefer my codex powers becasue I know what I can do before the match begins. The randomness of the psychic deck is just as bad as Warlord Traits.
Oh well everything is just as it was at the beginning of the week.
I’ll stick with Doom Fortune and Guide for my Eldar Farseer and Divination for my Dark Angels.
I am thinking about trying 2 Farseers one with codex powers one Divination.

Because especially with the Swarmlord you get to roll four times, and if you get Iron Arm your Big Beastie basically becomes invulnerable to everything but artillery (Toughness 9 is almost unheard of in 40k). But you guys are right in two things: the rollin gfor powers thing is total crap and in our gameclub we have the house rule, that you can choose your… Read more »
Sorry Guys, just checked my math, since the numbers didn’t add up.
So before the Deny the Witch thing you had a 59.2% Chance of Failure to hit a Tank in cover or who had some kind of Jink. With the Deny the Witch you now have a 65.9% Chance to Fail the shot.
So sorry guys. Next time I’ll double check the numbers (even though I hate statistics; The only part of mathematics you can use to flat out LIE!!!)
