The merits of this project aside, the format of this kickstarter is stupid. They have 4 days left and essentially no way to get the game once the 5 or 6 slots left sell out. They really should have kept a get just the base game option open and unrestricted. Had this thing really, really blown up that would have hurt them. Once those 5-6 are sold out they will be putting up new pledge levels that provide all the same but with a Q1 delivery date rather than guaranteed before Christmas. And even with the wait the $150 Striker deal is fantastic value for money.
I’m not really interested in the coach or cheerleader figures, but otherwise the new teams and MVPs are still looking cool. Sadly, all the extra stuff is getting considerably expensive, and realistically most of us won’t need 9 or 10 teams to play the game with. I suppose if you’re splitting some of the swag with a friend or two it does become quite a bit cheaper.
The game looks like a lot of fun though, and I do wish we had product now (yeah I’m impatient!) so that we could start playing right away!
