The production quality on the maps (mmmm, maps..) looks really good and much better than the 4 part poster map I’m still using from Dragon a few years ago. Of course, that was pre 4e where WotC totally shook up Faerun, so if I run another Forgotten Realms game this seems like a good purchase. Given that the Forgotten Realms ISNT the standard campaign setting for 4e and the Neverwinter campaign book came out some time ago, I suspect that the timing of these maps – particularly the Neverwinter one – has more to do with the new Neverwinter F2P… Read more »
Neverwinter is getting a big overhaul in 5th Edition as well. They had a few key note speeches about it over Gen Con and PAX and this might be an interesting ‘lead up’ as it were to the changes in the world.

I don’t remember a demi-human vampire destroyed by rain…
I do remember that the Ravenloft elven vampires are not hurt by holy water, but by the sap from deciduous trees, and that vampire halflings cannot stand the odor of pipe smoking, for it reminds them of bladibladiblah… Poppycock.
I believed that scar on the Neverwinter map is caused by a Rune Priest casting Jaws Of The Werewolf.
JoTW? I thought only SW Rune Priests could cast that?
