Mannikin Studios Tell an Eerie Fairy Tale
September 5, 2012 by brennon
Arthur Rackham illustrations have inspired some amazing miniatures from Mannikin Studios. Check out these superb looking models below from the land of fairy tales and fantasy...
First up we have The Old Squaw which is looking fantastically eerie. I love its leering style and long eldritch fingers. A proper perfect witch that would be superb in a macabre role-playing game.
Mannikin also have this pair, Puss in Boots and the Ogre. It's a little hard to see the detail on Puss, but I think from the skill we see in other Mannikin models you can imagine he is a joy when painted up.
Some great models that will scare your kids!
Absolutely adore what Mannikin are doing.
Might just have to succumb to temptation.
need more cash for buying lots of wonderful models that are available.
Would anyone be interested in a Kickstarter campaign. You send me cash and as a reward you get a warm fuzzy feeling from knowing you have made me very happy!
If you hit the next level I will send a signed photo of me looking happy with the shiny stuff.
Sounds good to me.
Let me know and I’ll help fund you 😛
Lol Many thanks Manpug! You’re a pal.
These really are pieces of art, miniature scultpures and I love how they tell a story. The ogre in the 18th c. fashion is phenomenal – much more frightening than his feral, dimwitted cousins (though this one wasn’t to smart either, if the memory serves … 🙂 ).
This is some fine modeling and story telling as well. Models of this nature are the ones I love the most. They sell more than just a model, they sell expression and a background to the model that can be seen from the model.
