This company really make some lovely models and at less than 50p a figure large ancient armies are not a strain on the pocket.
The biggest investment is the time to paint, so it may be a project for my next holiday. For speed I have been thinking about Spartans as they are more uniform so they’d be quicker to turn out. The Athenians are more individualistic they would take bit longer but they are the better looking army.
How quick can I paint one? Send me the box and I’ll tell yer 🙂
SO many miniatures not enough time. I always liked the look of Ancients but I doubt I will ever collect an army of them. These do like well sculpted and I like the variety of poses achieved although they look very relaxed – either very staunch or not on the front lines. :).
Ever tried to put two phalanx at full tilt, in base to base contact? Not easy.
a bit like amorous hedgehogs
very nice models
