The Legendary Vortigern is the Focus for Musketeer Miniatures

Vortigern, a 5th Century warlord of Britain is currently being worked on by Musketeer Miniatures. Check out the Work-in-Progress miniature below alongside one of his retainers...
There is an absolutely stunning amount of detail on these models. I love the patterns on the retainers helmet and the attention to detail on even Vortigern's belt. There is also something that the sculptors at Musketeer want help with!
What should Vortigern have in his other hand? Should it be a sword, or maybe a standard fluttering in the wind?

Perhaps a pint, or a lovely bouquet. Seriously, no leader worth his salt would carry his own banner.My vote would be for a battle axe with some decorative embellishments consistent with 5th Century Britain.
BTW, the models look a bit tubby.
