Gripping Beast Start the Wars of Dux Britanniarum
August 17, 2012 by brennon
With Dux Britanniarum out now from Gripping Beast and Two Fat Lardies the obvious next step is getting hold of some miniatures. Well there are now two starter armies available for the game...
Both the Saxons and Romano-British have access to full starter armies for the game. The whole range has some quite good looking miniatures.
Could you be expanding your historical collection with this game and miniatures like these?
Let me know your thoughts on this period of gaming below.
Wow. I’m never disappointed with models from Gripping Beast, and these starter armies are quite affordable. If my spouse forces me to chose between her and these figures I’ll really miss her.
The rules are definately on my shopping list. I have plenty of Gripping Beast models for this period but I’m always easily tempted to buy more.
I also have my eye on the figures from Musketeer miniatures of Hengist, Horsa and Aella that were shown on here the other day. Obviously they were released with these rules in mind.
15 or 28mm ? anyways real convincing models *thumbs up*
@partisan They are 28mm and they have been around for quite a few years and they still look great.
Anyone read the Arthur series of books by Bernard Cornwell will recognise Derfel and the Wolftail warriors in the range
Yeah. If they start turning up at the LGS I can’t not get them
