Love the points for the locks. This could very well be the case that kills my paranoia.
How about a drive over with a flaming truck test.
Seriously though, that is an impressive case. Ideal for when I have to take my models to work with me.
These are just peli cases with foam in.
Will be interesting what the price is going to be cus peli cases are not cheep but are amazing.
OO nice, especially for storage.
hmm, depending on the price i may invest just incase i fall off of my moped.
Look very much like the pelican cases used for photography gear to me, which is a good thing. Now, as I rarely travel anywhere with models, the furthest being to a car boot on the journey to a mates house for our groups gaming night, they arent for me, but everything I’ve ever bought from Battlefoam has been absolute top quality , I would think the waterproof part alone would be worth the price if you do travel a lot with minis. Competition painters especially, taking into account the custom tray thing for getting an exact fit to a converted… Read more »
While he admittedly didn’t beat the ever loving crap out of it like an amped up psycho on pcp, I wouldn’t do a single one of those things to a single one of my other cases.
He was probably more worried about line-driving the thing into his truck or into his buddy with the bat. With my luck, that’s exactly what would happen if I tried it.
Lamesr sales pitch ever… I habe the 720 and its good, I still think bf is overated as it is too generic and doesn’t allow room for positioning figs in different poses… i.e Dark Eldar Hellion tray where most hellglaives are broken and torsos come off regularly in transport. However with this promo, a piece of burning cardboard does not fireproof make. A truck with it’s rear wheel up on a curb doesn’t make it tough against being run over. Though I agree with What’s his nam… Romeo? That you are doing something wrong with your stuff i fit’s getting… Read more »
I am 99 percent certain they have partnered with SKB, these I am sure these are SKB’s I Series Cases. See here: http://www.skbcases.com/industrial/products/prod-list.php?d=s17
These cases really are good, I use them for all sorts fo gear I regularly have to ship back and forth across teh country.
They are very similar, but looking at the pix, the hinges on the latches appear different to me. The SKB cases have a piece that appears to run perpendicular through the center of the hinge where they are connected to the lid.
Actually, it appears the largest case in the picture on this page has that piece I’m referring to, but not the smaller ones. *shrug*
Anyone know if there’s a difference in quality between the Pelican product and the SKB product?
are these even going to be available in the UK? I quite fancy one of these
When will they be up for purchase, I haven’t yet made the plunge into a case besides GWs. Those are ok but nothing quite says nerd as walking down the road with a GW suitcase in green with a big Aquila stuck to the side. These black label cases look like they could be carrying anything. I like that.
