Loganwing got a huge leg up, first of all the man himself is now either S5 ap3 at initiative 5, S8 ap2 at initiative 1 or a mix of both, second your 10 man termi squads can take two guys with thunder hammers and storm shields, give them the cyclones and stick ’em at the front and have the 2+/3++ saves shield the whole unit as they march across the board ripping off 4 krak missiles a turn, before the other 8 guys even need to pop off their combi shots. Guard are the best way to get them put… Read more »
I am going to try next Tuesday Tau vs Spaces Wolves. This will be a “friendly” game but, I am prepairing to use all dirty tricks I can think off.
First step, when talk how the rules have changed in 6th, everything I say is intentionally wrong…. and he does not have the rulebook.
Second step, was to allow forgeworld models in. It is the only way for Tau.
Thrid step, I know he will try to outflank.
In short, my planned tactic 6 mounted great knarlocs (MCs) with 9 sniper drones. Tons of fire warriors and kroot squads.
hope you guys look into daemons soon.. they have become very good.. especially with the new flamers and screamers rules 🙂 cant wait to have a table full of screamers (previously i never would of thought that i would say that 😛 haha)
The Draigowing is done, without Storm Shields Paladins can not stand up to standard or assault terminators. Wolf Guard have received a huge bump because they are so customizable, but you pay through the nose for them. I would take a standard 10 man TH/SS squad over a tooled out Wolf Guard Pack any day, because you could take a dev squad or predator for the extra points. Double FOC makes me sick, I love the allies rule, but it doesn’t start to get really fun until you hit that 2K mark, and then the cheese armies like Long Fang… Read more »
The advantages with the wolf guard is they can still shoot when you have them tooled up for close combat, vanilla marines can only mix TH/SS with Lightning Claws, and if you’re careful with your movement and formation you can have hilarious amounts of fire power coming from a unit that bounces an ungodly amount of shooting with their armour and invulnerable saves, and you’ll force your opponent into trying to come around them with ap2/1 shooting to try from the back, which is were your skyclaws rush in and bucket-o-dice them to death in close combat. Thinking about it… Read more »
Where does it say you double force organisation chart at 2000pts!?
6th ed RB pg110 🙂
Darrell didn’t I tell you months ago that Land Speeders were brilliant for the Space wolves. My mate still hates them. Even more so now.
Am I now right in saying that all missile launchers now get Flakk missiles as standard now? This means that anybody thinking of taking a flyer heavy army against space wolves is also screwed.
So when do we get to see Darrell’s changes to his list?
