Warpath Leak! Check out the Enforcer Captain
July 25, 2012 by brennon
We have seen the rear of the Enforcers for the Corporation so far, but this leak from Mantic Games has revealed not just the front of one, but an Enforcer Captain! Check him out below in all his armoured glory...
Now that is a properly good looking model. You can see influences of Forge Father armour on the legs and I like the little nod to Starcraft Marines with the neck guard. Check out a bit of Warpath fluff below...
"The officers of the Enforcers lead from the front. Taking to the field of battle in armour that is heavier than that of their men, they are able to shrug off a laser cannon shot, and their guns are powerful despite their compact nature. Enforcer Captains are generally observed operating on their own, without support staff, although it is certain that their superior wargear provides them with up-to-the-minute tactical information and communications gear."
You can read more about the Corporation here.
So will you be starting up a Corporation army with one of these mighty soldiers at the forefront?

I had no interest in the Warpath game, but some of those models are looking damn good.
I could proxy them into other games.
I too had very little interest in Warpath…. but seriously, this is a kick ass model. A lot of the previous corporation miniatures lacked dynamic poses but this guy rocks!
Freakin Awesome!!!!
I will… But I might use it as a Merc force in Defiance Games’ “Alien Wars” system.
Love that commander!!
Change that helmet with one of the numerous bare heads on the market and you’re looking at a Starcraft marine. Awesome.
I’m going to be painting this very soon for mantic at golem painting studio, how nuts should i go???
🙂 🙂
Freehands (tactical and kill markings), weathering, the works! This is the kinda model that looks like he could casually jump off of an orbiting spaceship, survive re-entry and hit the ground shooting… if you can make it look like the model has been to hell and back with no visible damage to anything other than the paintwork it’ll create a nice narrative for the model. Either that or “shiny shiny” to be a closer stylistic match to the basic infantry (which presumably will need a faster PJ), but as a commander unit separate from those, I think you can reasonably… Read more »
Reminds me of the Section 8 Orbital Drop Troopers…

This guy looks like he goes into Veer-myn warrens and stomps rats all day long.
HAPPY to see these Starcraft marines on the tabletop. Mantic are carefully outdoing themselves, it seems. Well done!
It’s bloody about time they came out with something that looks strong and alive. No static pose with cigar this time is a good thing.
He is very detailed bulky guy althought not enough to spark my interest towards Warpath.
Brilliant! I don’t play Warpath (though the new rules look good) but I have a few corpo figs- these look awesome! The plan is to give them their own army in time, seperate from the main corpo forces. Can’t wait to see the squads for these guys.
I don’t know about the game but I like this mini a lot.
The more I look at this the more I like it. If I were to paint it I would go for a similar shade of drab green used on the corporation marines body armour, but with chipped paint and weathering to make it look like he’s been through the wars, and base it to match that. I’d definitely avoid bright garish colours like blue, yellow or red, I just don’t see why an elite soldier would go into battle dressed in parade colours
The argument for bright colours is that the technology level of the enemy would make camouflage pointless- they’d be able to see you further away with some super satellite scan techno babel in camo than they could with the naked eye in neon florescent zebra stripes.
‘coarse when the enemy is a bunch of animalistic berserkers like the marauders you’d be better off with camo and the bright colours only give a moral boost in the form of shared camaraderie etc, which falls apart once you start bleeding…
It’s a reasonable point and you could go further and say that the more realistic proportions of the Corporation minis lend themselves to a more realistic paint job, too… but I feel strangely honour bound to defend the old space marines.
I always saw the tactics-defying armour as being an effect of the discrepancy between fluff and game balance – the space marines are supposed to be shock troops, terror weapons who show up and kill everything and win; camouflage is for people against whom the enemy stand a chance. That, and they’re a product of the ’80s.
Looks like a blend of the warmonger and the hulkbuster Ironman suits. Pretty cool mini.
One of the best models so far. And with the new more model-based rules I’m getting very much interested, maybe when the next kickstarter comes 🙂
I’d want to see exactly how much more heavily armoured he is than his squad before I bought in, but this one character looks very cool.
I’m really liking the look of this chap, just wish they would do some more stuff for the maruaders
