TableTop Episode 8: Fiasco!
July 14, 2012 by dracs
Wil Wheaton, along with this week's TableTop compadres Alison Haislip, Bonnie Burton, and John Rogers, brings you into a world of seedy ambition and disastrous outcomes with the role playing game Fiasco!
Fiasco is a GM-less story telling rpg by Bully Pulpit Games based around the sort of story you might expect to see in a Coen brother's film.
Wil Wheaton and his crew spin a brilliantly twisty tale as they play through this rpg, bringing a fantastically fun story of ambitions and relationships in 70's New York, utilising a playset written by Wil Wheaton, Will Hindmarch, and Jason Morningstar just for the episode: Saturday Night 78.
Well that's enough of me blathering on. As Wheaton himself might say, it's time to watch (slight pause for effect) Fiasco!
Watching as I type…could be a blast
Sounds like a fun system
That was stupendous!
The only downside I can think of is after watching how brilliant they were an average game might seem lame! lol
But I can imagine that it could be a blast too Trebor!
Glad again you guys got my ‘story’,
About the game… It seems really fun… But, it really depends on who you’re playing with..
I could think of some people who would make this game seem enormously boring.
I’m glad Mr Wheaton is doing something RPG related on his show ! It was time.
From what I’ve been reading & hearing from him, he’s gonna play a few more as well
(incl. Dragon Age RPG).
What do you expect? He started ‘gaming’ through D&D
a great episode, I’ve read about the game before, great to see it in action – can’t wait for pt 2 and the results of the Tilt.
the headline reads a little like “horrendous disaster on tabletop episode 8, everybody died, it was a fiasco!” 😀
Not until the end of Ep9: Fiasco pt2
OMG NOOOOO!! How will we cope with life without Wheaton!? :'(
Was the best episode of TT so far. Can’t wait to see how this all pans out.
BoW Ben
EH, I dunno a game of spin the bottle probably would of peaked my interest more…
50/50 chance of the wrong sex
It could be a fiasco
You know man,
that comment is so wide open for a slam dunk worthy of a purity seal.
@trebormills
However I really like your input and refuse to slam ya, despite how fantasticly funny it would be.
So I will practice great restraint here and slowly walk away from the keyboard 🙂
