June 21, 2012 by dracs
Warlord have released a new supplement for Hail Caesar detailing 60 new army lists spanning the times of antiquity to early medieval.
This supplement for the Hail Caesar game contains 60 army lists covering the forces of Late Antiquity, the Dark Ages and Early Medieval periods, from the ‘crisis’ of the turbulent mid-third century to the Mongol invasions of the thirteenth. Each list provides a guide to army composition, suggested game values for troops, and points values for the different units.
With armies ranging from the Picts to Sung China, this book will provide you with many options for wargaming in these historical periods.
Any of you historical fans thinking of picking this up?

I’ll probably be picking up a copy as I’m looking into finding a new rule set since the demise of WAB.
I have Hail Caesar but I would also like to try Clash of Empires and War and Conquest as well.
I’d like to hear if anyone else has tried of these rules
It would also be nice to have an historical forum on here.
There are a numb er of forums dealing with various Historical rule sets here, they can be found at the bottom of the forum home page. If you think that there is a particular game which needs a forum in the historical category feel free to set one up.

I found them a while ago. The trouble with down the bottom of the forum page is no one can hear you scream.
I was thinking more of when you click on Historical gaming tab the discussion groups would come up as an option on the right as on other group pages.
Most historical gamers play quite a few systems and have a wide interest throughout history so it could be quite general.
“If you think that there is a particular game which needs a forum in the historical category feel free to set one up.”
How do I do that?
