Latest BaneLegions Breasties… er I mean Beasties

Warning: This article contains images of an adult nature and should not be viewed at work. It's already hard enough to explain to your co-workers why you play with plastic soldiers.
The July additions to the stunning BaneLegions range have made their appearance, sporting some rather impressive attributes: the first with an unpronounceable name and the other with... well you'll see.
First we have Galhwch LLadd Llaw, the first of the man/dragon Dyndraigs.
It's ironic that the reason why the images of these releases were late is because this guy's tongue was lost, which is remarkably similar to what happens to my tongue when I try and say his name.
Second is the adult content I warned you about which I'm sure you're all interested in. Kernsa, Sword-Melusine Mother.
Do I even need to bother asking if you want this?

Oh, crap. An R rated Lady Justice. She’s even got a ram hanging from her belt to make sure she gets that critical strike off. Haven’t we been here before with Banelords though?
Galhwch looks pretty awesome, though it looks more and more like I will never get my wish of there being some more “regal” creatures done for Banelegions.
A pegasus, griffon, hippogryph something a bit less…gribbly.
As for the pair of beachballs with a body attached I’m not to keen on it, or the other couple of sculpts in the similar style.
I’ve not got a problem with near nudity or even full nudity but the pose again is uninspiring and unless it is a fantasy realm with plastic surgeons then that chest must be magically enhanced.
Banelegions fails where Hasslefree succeeds with the ladies today. I don’t mind the proportions but with the other Sword-Melusines I could believe they wore next-to-nothing because they were more agile for it – this one has a big horned head getting in the way and the sword is huge, removing that benefit. I quite like the sword otherwise, but the runes on it look too shallowly carved. Also the hair is too coarse again…it’s a no from me. Love the dragon-man (because of that I’ll avoid his real name and call him Trogdor) though – really fierce looking and good… Read more »
“Warning: This article contains images of an ADOLESCENT nature and should not be viewed at work. It’s already hard enough to explain to your co-workers why you play with plastic soldiers.” There, I fixed your warning for you. Also, the NSFW warning really should be in the headline (not that we couldn’t tell from the thumbnail in the nav, but still). I also think that most “M” rated videogames really should be called something other than “mature”. The beast is kind of cool looking, but certainly not Bane Legions’ best. The… warrior? is ridiculous at best. It’s like a flashback… Read more »
For anyone interested the full name of the second figure is ‘Galhwch kill hand’
Oh wait, says on the website that it’s ‘slaughter hand’… Yeah, I guess that translation also works, makes more sense anyway!
Oh, it’s the Breasts of War.
So no armored boob plate or twin steel pie plates for her!
She also going full Scottish without the kilt.
….OK I got that out of my system, sorry.
Once again Bane Legions cannot into women.
Really pathetic imo. I won’t devote more copy to this.
Ditto
Galhwch is fairly impressive.
Not keen on the prevalence of foot on a rock stuff atm, but I would simply build up a slope from the base to the level of the foot.
Maybe having him leaning out over a ledge of rock.
Took the words out of my mouth. I’ll salute the sculpts and art involved, they both clearly are excellent pieces of work. But, the female’s lack of clothes etc… pathetic.
Galhwch is rather fierce looking and Kernsa has rather big tataas. Both of those are very detailed models.
Tataas? That’s a new one on me!
Except as I get older am starting to have some man tataas on me lol
I use to see banelegions as a more adult and gritty side to fantasy, not so much anymore, the sculpts are mostly impressive and its nice to see them coming out with original pieces as well. But its like they are devolving, joining with the stereotype that in the fantasy genre woman have to A not own any cloths and B be atomically incorrect. Being in the nude does not make one a grown up. I also feel Galhwch could do with a tail, but thats just personal preference.
I haven’t followed them that closely lately, but this made me want to see the rest of their line out of curiosity. Some of their monstrous figures are pretty awesome actually, but their best work is definitely their older stuff. Every sculpt of a female is far from adult, and only the female victim on the Blunt-Claw Vras-Lord sculpt even approaches “gritty”, though really it’s more cartoonishly cruel. Also, why does the victim on that sculpt have to be a busty female? Would it make the monster any less horrible if it were some guy that were being eaten? It’s… Read more »
i just think the female sculpt is childish and unnecessary.
MY EYES ! MY EYES ! IT BURNS !
THE GOGGLES, THEY DO NOTHING !
You need Goggles of Unseeing for a +1 save
Good old Simpsons never lets me down with relevant lines like that 😉
Typical warrior woman, throwing armor on everything except for her vital organs. 😛
At last the perfect female warrior boots for the Barbie Babe Barbarian/Warrior Woman:

Should go with the chainmail bikini a treat!
Sorry no, sculpts like that are what often drive women away from this hobby. Ask yourself really what would you think of someone who had that on their shelf?
I know a few serious painters at a professional standard that will enjoy laying some skin tones and woad tattoos on that Simon Bisley inspired female sculpt.
They had better start stocking up on blue paint
That is a lot of surface area to decorate. 😛
Maybe a woad Dow Chemical logo on one of those Tupperware t*ts 🙂
Think we might be on the Woad to Nowhere.
Wow, what a bunch of prudes. I’ve never seen a group trying to be so politically correct or were your girlfriends looking over your shoulders when you typed this? I admit she is a little more endowed than is necessary, but what’s wrong with a little T&A in a FANTASY game? The hair does need a little work, but overall I don’t think it’s a big figure. A bit reminiscent of the old Frazetta artworks. I wouldn’t mind having one in my collection or on the shelf. I agree with the guy before who said that the beastie needs a… Read more »
Man you are so far from the mark As you seem to be new to posting on BoW (welcome btw) there are some of us that find the general lack of clothing on female warriors to be embarrassing, and for none of the reasons you state. I am not really at liberty to speak for others but imho it is acceptable for a female barbarian, as the male counterpart is likewise clad in naught but a fur loin cloth and arm guards and boots. Oh forgot the obligatory headband of justice. For other classes, it makes no practical sense for… Read more »
We have women in our gaming group (I’m pretty sure you don’t) and to put the shoe on the other foot, how long would us guys stay in a game that had men running around with their junk hanging out, or worse still, pointing straight out in a +2 sort of way. I’d get pretty disgusted pretty quick. Fair’s fair. It’s also not realistic. I agree completely with chibi.
You know there’s websites out there where you can access porn, right?
Knowing there’s a time and a bloody place for such things does not make one a prude. They are both excellent models but they’re miniatures not erotic art.
Would you like page 3 of every White Dwarf to be … a page 3… would that be appropriate?
Hmmm let me think….
Jervis topless on page 3?
That would be a resounding NOOOOOOOO!
I am not offended by this sculpt. There’s nothing here to offend. It’s not sexual in the slightest. It’s pathetic. This is pure unfiltered adolescent fantasy. It’s a presexual concept of sexuality. No one who has seen a real woman naked would take this seriously. There’s nothing sexy about it. There’s certainly nothing adult about it. The kind of person who finds this sexy has distanced themselves from reality and adulthood in a way that speaks only to the worst stereotypes of the gamer geek. I really don’t think this would offend any women I know. I know for a… Read more »
It’s not about being prudish it’s about pointing out that there is no use place for it. The sculpt is intended to be sexualised which is not what I want from a mini this chart gives an idea: http://24.media.tumblr.com/tumblr_m2isf4ejj51rty7tao1_1280.jpg
also look through http://womenfighters.tumblr.com for awesome fantasy ideas of women looking good.
I use the yard stick of “would I show this to my friends” to decide on what kind of mini is too “dirty”.
