Musketeer Miniatures Ride to Roman Ruin!

Musketeer Miniatures who have been fashioning a lot of figures for SAGA have turned their hand back to the fall of the Roman Empire with some Late Roman Cavalry models which you can see Work-in-Progress pieces for here...
The models will eventually be split into a Command set next to two different sets containing Armoured and Unarmoured riders. Loving the models so far and the Late Roman period is one that rarely gets a look in so its interesting to see the difference in armour and weapons from the more standard fare we see in regimented blocks from the Golden Age of the Empire.
So will you be adding some of these to your Roman armies?
Indeed it makes a change not seeing the regular lorica armour usually associated with Roman soldiers – with those domed helmets and mail coats they almost look Saxon in style and the sculpts look good to boot. A side benefit of the period not being widely recognised is that you can use these models in fantasy gaming and it won’t look like a historical parody as the Bretonnian or Empire stuff can do.
I think it is more a case of early Saxon look late Roman in style.
@thc303 Regular lorica? I take it you mean lorica segmenta (plate) which would not be used in this period as apposed to Lorica hamata (mail) or the fish scale one I can’t remember the name of.
